(Part two of Miss Megumis backstory, y'all I'm sorry in advance. Also I follow anyone who gets the reference in this chapter :))

Six months. It was strange how time flew by, fast, but slow. And somehow, in only six months I had gotten to know her better than any other living person. At least it felt that way.

"What should we watch?" She asked, holding the remote in her hand, looking at the television on my wall. I smiled, resting my head on her shoulder and moving my arm around her.

"Something scary," I answered automatically.

"That's what you always say," she whined.

"Because you always say no," I replied smiling as she rolled her eyes.

"Horror movies are just senseless violence for the sake of violence," She replied curtly, pausing momentarily. "So of course you would love them."

"And what's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing," Hana answered cautiously. "But well, y'know."

"What do I know?"

"You're out there on the streets everyday, beating up bad guys, you're so desensitized to violence that you don't mind watching movies of people cutting off their own legs."

"I must admit you make a compelling point. Every other day it seems that there's a man chopping his own leg off in the street. It's a miracle that they clean the blood off so fast so that sensitive innocent people like you don't have to see it.

"Yeah, yeah, you know that's not what I meant." She proceeded to give me her typical, give me I want stare, "We can watch a scary movie if you really hate me."

"Alright we can watch a Disney movie. I know you've been waiting for the chance to see that one with the hair and the flowers and stuff."

She giggled, and I pulled her closer at the sound, my nostrils assaulted with the scent of some type of fruit.

"See I knew you were a sweetheart. I just wish you were this way with everyone."

"What do you mean? I'm perfectly sweet with everyone I meet. I'm a goddamn sugar packet." She gave me a long look that made me smile a little.

"I just think you should be more open with people. Sweet. Like how you are with me."

I looked at her deeply. I didn't know I was so soft around her. I'd never really thought about it that way. I'd never really considered how I treated others. I supposed it was just natural for me to be, for lack of better words, a dick.

"I can try."

"Back off runt, we're trying to do a job, your autograph can wait," I snapped, glaring at a kid with black hair and green eyes that were too pale for my liking. It turned out being nice was harder than I thought.

But of course, being mean meant trouble too. I felt a quick jab on my head, that sent a small ache through my skull.

I turned to look at the number three hero in Japan, also known as my boss. He stood glaring at me with pitch black eyes and long black hair that sat in thick sheets on his shoulder, part of his hair held up in a fist like formation, making me aware that was what had done the jab.

"I'm sorry about my sidekick. She's too punctual for her own good. I'd love to sign your picture!" He said, his voice in that annoying high pitch he always used.

"Can you sign it with your hair?" An admittedly weird request, but my boss had hair that acted like hands so I'd let it slide.

"Of course! Have a great day kid!"
