(Hey all, so this chapter could've been published sooner but I wanted to make sure y'all weren't hating anyone for long. Also the formatting is far from perfect keep in mind I'm doing this straight from docs and it's hard and complicated attempting to get them to coincide. Also bc so many ppl didn't like her hero name it is now j glass. Have fun and tyyyyy for reading :)))

Just say hello. Speak to them like how you used to. But how did that even happen? How did my words form?

God, I should have been able to tell, but I simply couldn't. If only I just knew how to act, act like the people around me. Like how I was supposed to. I watched it everyday, and yet I couldn't bring myself to do it.

"If you miss them, say something." I remembered Miss Megumi's words. I remembered how I spoke to her without thinking. Talking more than I should have about how much I missed them. It was strange, because I had known them so little. But there I was, watching them during class from the corner of my eye.

They looked so natural together. Had I ever looked that way with them. Likely not. They must have not even truly noticed when I left.
I wanted to just leave them be. Recognize that they wouldn't bother to care if I joined them once more. But Miss Megumi was firm when she told me to speak with them. More firm than she had ever been with me. And I couldn't disobey her.

Slowly, with long deep breaths, I forced my legs to approach them, hating the clicking sound of my shoes against the floor.
Three pairs of eyes shot up at me once I returned to the seat I had neglected over the past week. But I sat down, rubbing my fingers together feeling my nails scrape against my palm.

I wondered what to say. What I should have said. What I even could have managed to say. But after a moment they turned back towards each other, talking like I wasn't there at all.

"Are you sure we have a test today?" Kaminari asked, clear dread written across his face, much different from the blank look he gave me moments prior.

Yaoyorozu nodded, "It's not too hard, I promise. Did you write the formulas on your cheat sheet like Mr. Aizawa told you to?"

He looked away, rubbing the back of his neck while wearing a sheepish smile, "I may have forgotten." Yaoyorozu gave him a piercing glare that made him cower even further into his seat.

"Give him a break, with his one braincell it's surprising enough he remembered to button his shirt all the way," Jirou replied with a smirk.

"Oh come on! When have I ever forgotten something like that?"

"You're fly is down," she said back, to which he checked instantly only to give her a firm glare.

"Now you're just lying!"

"Yeah but you looked, meaning you didn't actually know."

This would have been where Yaoyorozu sighed, looking at me with a familiar concealed smile, and tilt of the head, like we were privately sharing in our own joke. But she didn't this time. Instead she just nodded along.

I couldn't help a bitter feeling from crossing my chest.

"Say something" I heard Miss Megumi's voice, pushing me to talk.

I took a deep breath in, trying to find the words.

"I-" I paused when all of them turned to look at me when I spoke. It was terrifying. Like being stared down by hungry vultures. But I persisted, even if I couldn't tell how. "I have the formulas memorized. You could- um -" God why were they staring at me. Why was it suddenly so quiet in the room? Was the whole school listening? I couldn't tell. "You could take my sheet."
