Jeongin POV:
Picking up his phone, he scrolled through the multiple messages he had received through the night. Apparently, he had fallen asleep while texting Seungmin and he had inadvertently left Seungmin on read. He noted that the last message was a pouty 'Good night babyyy 🥺'.
He chuckled slightly. Seungmin was such a clingy boyfriend. He thought back to yesterday, when Seungmin had blurted out 'Do you want to be my boyfriend?' He had agreed, and Seungmin was confused for a moment before he went absolutely red in the face when he realised that he had said his thoughts out loud.
[A/N: In "Someone Hold Me", Seungmin 'thought' in his head something, right? hehe. I'm very uncreative so in this rendition, he actually said the question out loud and Jeongin ofc heard.]
Seungmin was so adorable and clumsy but Jeongin loved those qualities of him. It showed that Seungmin wasn't hiding anything from him. Right? It would be hard to keep a dual-personality-based life.
He texted back. 'bb..do you have work today??'
The offline status quickly changed to online and Jeongin smiled a little, knowing that Seungmin was so eager to respond. A reply.
Seungmin: yeahh sry bb bread
Seungmin: i'll try to end earlier and i'll drop by your house at 5?
Seungmin: will u b in?
Jeongin: ya ofc bb
Jeongin: <3 mwah cyaaaaaa
Seungmin: 💙 cuddlesss??
Jeongin squealed.
Jeongin: yessssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss!! 🥺
Seungmin: heheheheheheheheheh
Jeongin left him on read and switched off his phone, tossing it beside him on his bed. He pinched his lips together and thought, 'Silly lil baby'.
The day was pretty normal, Jeongin washed up, made himself some pancakes because he was feeling good, and cleaned up the dishes that were left in the sink from yesterday. He hummed his favourite song to himself and made sure to scrub the dishes clean.
Once every task was done, Jeongin was brain dead. He had been daydreaming throughout most of his chore-doing and he realised that the only person he could think about was Seungmin. He giggled, thinking about whether Seungmin was thinking about him at that moment.
By mindlessly doing his day-to-day tasks, three hours had gone by in a jiffy. He turned to the clock and smiled as the clock hand was nearing the 12 o'clock time. He skipped back to his bed and checked his phone.
He saw a notification, 'babyyyy what u doingg'
Jeongin opened up the chat and replied.
Jeongin: I just finished vacuuming the house honeyyy
The last text had been sent at around 10:15am so Seungmin wasn't online at the moment. Just as Jeongin's eyes roamed towards the book he kept at the bedside table, he saw Seungmin come online out of the corner of his eye. He huffed slightly. Seungmin was putting aside his duties for him too much.
Seungmin was typing so Jeongin decided to stay online for a little longer to read his response and possibly reprimand him for being too eager to reply.
Seungmin: yayy you're here
Seungmin: Oh that's great bb! do u have anything else 2 do?
Jeongin: noooo TT
Seungmin: ...you can...chill with me!
Jeongin: nuhh bb you go back to shelving those bookies rn
Jeongin: u keep replying me so fast i keep wondering whether you're actually workingg
Seungmin: hahahaha bb i free up my time to talk to you becuz you're my top priority
Seungmin: those nasty bookies can wait. my innie is the most important in the world
Jeongin: i luv those bookies tho 🥺
Seungmin: sigh...ok then...not nasty bookies
Jeongin: on a serious note, bb we can talk tonight
i dun wanna disturb your working time
Jeongin: later ur boss fires you then i cant drink my bb tea 😭
Seungmin: sooooo this was all abt your bb tea 😔
Jeongin: heehee no bb

Seungmin: okkk fine OnO

Jeongin: baiiiii

Seungmin went off after leaving him on read and Jeongin smiled. Hearing Seungmin say that he was the most important had his heart doing the most impressive somersaults that not even a gymnast could do.
It sounded silly but the way Seungmin made him feel really left some kind of impact on him. He couldn't imagine having another partner other than Seungmin. The sweetest, puppy-like, ex-best friend, most understanding person he'd ever met.
He dropped his phone on his bed yet again and lets it off on its own.
