The Khalifa of Khurasan is a strange young man, with power etched on his face and a bloodied empire in his iron fist, he feeds on fear and grins amidst his gilded privileges.

Until a quest begins as the Caliph finds himself leasure and maidens are summoned from every corner of the kingdom and placed in his harem for his mere entertainment. As the Khalifa treads on corpses with a silver grin and teeth dripping blood, he toys with freshly bloomed maidens crushing them with his calloused hands.

War after war, with soulless men in governance, the kingdom withers away as the Caliph stands on a heap of corpses of young men and stolen daughters.

Women stripped of homes barter their dignity, for love is a strange strange thing, and in its absurdity must they suffer. Amidst all the corrupt women and vicious royals a riddler grins.

She is a murderer at the soul, a wintery heart, a being as cold as the night. Her riddles are so sly. She breathes life into split ink. For words hold power and power must she yield for the Caliph's bloodthirsty reign to end.

Night after night, she steps forth with a riddle for the Caliph and 19 muslin curtains in between. If The Caliph wins for three consecutive nights the riddler is his to keep but must he fail must he falter a price tenfold must the riddler reap
