Chapter-05
The Wedding
Holding onto his arm, you walk to the aisle with him. Yes, it is the big event. Both of you being one. No one came to see you while you were getting dolled up, not even your parents. Pathetic of them.
"I know why you are tearing up. But please, don't cry." The opera gloves soaked with your tears, as you smiled and waved at the guests. "Congratulations." "Thank you." Smiling and dolling up was what you hated the most. Smiling to someone who are unknowingly smiling at your destruction and you dolled up for someone else. You hated it.
"Be strong. Be strong. Be strong. Be strong. Be strong." You mumbled to yourself, trying to keep still of your emotions. "We may start with the vows." Started the priest. You looked around, just to get a glimpse of your parents a last time. There they are, smiling at you like nobody else. You looked away. The more you look at them, the more you will break from the inside.
You had your eyes on the floor, just between you and Taehyung's shoes. Two faint taps of his shoes and he succeeded in gaining your attention. You were holding onto each other's hands, securely. The vows felt so unreal and hurtful to you. They clearly said surrending yourself to each other.
You didn't want to surrender yourself to a man, never. You didn't want to walk on a path someone else chose. Never.
But here you are, standing on the stage, facing him, agreeing with the vows.
Your P.O.V
My eyes caught the upcoming set of two rings, placed precautiously on the red pillow. Are we some king or queen? No. I may not be marrying off with my heart, but I can be proud that at least, my marriage was a worth watching view.
We slowly exchanged rings, cameras flashed. The ring reached the end of my finger, just above the engagement one. Beautiful, both of them were below elegance. I was so busy adoring the rings that I didn't see Taehyung coming to me. He held my chin softly, placing his lips on mine.
I forgot, the kiss after exchanging the rings. Luckily, he tilted to the side, placing his thumb in between our lips. Placing my hands on his chest, I pretended as if we were kissing. I was told to do so. Not for him, but for his reputation.
Pulling off without any affection against each other, we continued to smile to the cameras that captured the so-called beautiful moment of us. We had our hands intertwined. "Different pose please." Not again. I faced him. My arms travelled to his neck, wrapping around it. We looked into each other's eyes. He wrapped his arm around me.
It is so different, the way he stares into my eyes. As if he will devour me any moment. He has these two beautiful eyes, that I forgot to notice in our commotion. Ethereal, those dark brown orbs are. Long eyes lashes, that can brush against my skin, when we kiss.
In my disgrace, I am grateful to have a handsome husband I can show off. If not his behaviour, I would have married him happily. "Don't stare hard. Those stares call me to kiss you. I don't want to kiss you hard here." I averted my gaze away from him, smiling at the cameras. "I thought you have changed, but I guess not. You are again at your shameless self.", I spit.
"So? Flirting with what's mine is not a crime.", he sneers. "I am not yours." "You mean what? A marriage simply means surrending yourself to your partner." "It is just a show to everyone. You too, know that I am not giving myself to you.", I reminded him. "Jokes on you. Whatever I touch becomes mine.", he smiles delightfully at those cameras while saying the wildest things. "Like?" "Your lips, your hands, your waist. Soon, it will be much deeper.", he pursued his lips together.
"Deeper?", I frowned. "Deeper.", he mumbles in my ear. Pulling me closer to himself, he leans onto to me. I somewhat knew what he meant. The heart-stopping gaze and then those words, it somehow managed to flutter my heart. "You see the cameramen capturing us? The one in blue is a spy." "Huh? Even though you know, you are smiling at his camera.", I scoffed. "You want me to start a war at such a beautiful special event?" "Catching just one is not creating-", I was cut off. "He has his comapnions tagged along." "Oh, I see.", I stared at the guy blankly.
"Don't be so obvious.", he pats my back. I had to smile at him even though I didn't want to. "What if he has a gun and shoots you?", I ask. "He knows it is my day, I have my people gathered, Why would he kill me in between hundreds of people with connections to dark world?" "So, you will let him spy you?" "What is the most he will spy in a wedding? I am not making a deal or something.", he mumbled.
"Weird.", I mumbled. "Don't worry about me. I'll handle myself.", he shrugged. "Worried about you? Never." "Know the meaning of worrying before replying back.", he curled his upper lip up. I scoffed. He chuckles, "Let's sign the papers." "Fine."
Once we were done with the signatures and our dinner, we were standing back at the stage to talk to the guests. With every thanks, the guests started leaving. Here stops by a group of loud people, laughing at Taehyung. What is so funny? He is looking good.
My eyes catch the figure who had been hiding behind the others. It is him, Jimin, the one who left me in trouble. Once he looked back into my eyes, I made sure to give him the best glares I had ever given to anyone. Rolling my eyes away, I avert my gaze to his friends. I had to remember the faces of his guest, just to know who they are.
The longest one, Kim Namjoon, with a good deep voice and good accent. The shorter one, Kim SeokJin, with a good voice, handsome face. The buff one, Jeon Jungkook, big doe eyes, thin lips. The one with a long face, Jung Hoseok, extremely loud, always smiling. The quiet one, Min Yoongi, secretly smiling but never talking, longest hair among Taehyung's friends.
It took me a long time to remember them. It was difficult. I asked Taehyung why to remember them, he told me that it is considered a disrespect in his family to ask someone who they are. And I had promised, I will behave.
"Jimin was refusing to come here But here he is.", said one of them. And I know why. "No, it's not like that. I was just eating." I just smiled at them. "Will you forgive him?" I heard Taehyung whisper in between those laughters. "No.", I huffed. "C'mon, forgive him. He did it just for me. I told him to do so." "Fine. I forgive him." Looking at Jimin, I found him stealing glances of me. I nodded at him. He sighed.
"Taehyung, are you breaking up with your girlfriend?" I snapped by glares at Taehyung. I feel offended for nothing. "He is lying! I have no girlfriend!" Taehyung shook his head at me, as if he feared me. Hear them all burst into laughter, I shrugged it off. "Don't crack such jokes.", said Taehyung. But none of them listened.
It was indeed a good time meeting them. They were making fun of each other and I enjoyed laughing with them.
