Knuckles spits out his drink silently and looks at Sonic as he took a drink. "That.... That... wouldn't happen to have occur at the blue bird saloon in Heaven Night town.... Would it?" Knuckles ask. "Actually yes how did you know?" Sonic asked and Knuckles heart started to race and sink to the bottom of his chest. "Before I answer I need to be sure. Did he loose the game and got mad over a bet for the last swallow of rum and five gold pieces?" He asked hoping it was a coincidence. "Yes? Again how do you know?" Sonic asked. Knuckles tears up and his heart broke as it sank to the bottom of his stomach. "Knuckles are you ok?" Sonic asked. "Y-y-yes..." knuckles said and gets up. "Where are you going?" Sonic asked hearing knuckles walking to the door. "I just... I just need a minute..." knuckles said. "Not until you answer me HOW DO YOU KNOW?!" Sonic stood up and yelled. "BECAUSE THAT MAN YOUR FATHER KILLED WAS MY FATHER!!!!" Knuckles yelled and silence filled the room. "What....." Sonic said. "My father died a week after my 18th birthday..... a drunk man got upset loosing a card game to my father and shot him right there..... my father didn't get the chance to speak."  Knuckles said and Sonic heartbreaks for the echidna. "I'm sorry... I'm so sorry my father did that to your father....." sonic said and knuckles sighs before sitting back down. "It's not your fault.... It was your father's...." "Yeah a man who only cared about him and his liquor...." Sonic said. "What are about your mother?" Knuckles asked. "She died of illness when me, Sonia, and Manic were only 15 years old... what about yours?" Sonic asked. "She's alive and I'm so sorry about your mother." Knuckle's said. "It's ok she was a kind soul and only stayed with my father for us.... And your mother? What is she like?" Sonic asked. "She's a kind soul herself. That's why I wanted to mail her letters to let her know I'll be gone longer." He said and Sonic nods. "Sounds like you have a good mother.... Like I once had." His white eyes move down. "A drink for the dead?" Knuckles said and Sonic nods. "Of course" he said and they clink their glasses.

The next morning knuckles wakes up with a massive headache and body sore. He sat up and rubbed his eyes then realized he wasn't in his bed. He lifted the covers and saw he was naked then looked over to the other side. A huge blush went across his face when he saw Sonic laying on the other side of him. "Oh sweet goddess of the sea...." He thought and got out of bed quietly. He tossed on his clothes and snuck out before any crew members got on deck. He rushed down the hallway and runs into Shadnar. "Have fun didnt we?" He smirked and Knuckles glares at him. "Hush Shadnar.... We had too much to drink" knuckles huffed holding his throbbing head and enter his room. Shadnar smirked and followed. "We huh who was the lucky guy?~ Espio maybe?" Shadnar said. "What? Espio? No why would say that?" Knuckles asked tossing his coat and shirt in a bin and puts on a new one. "Well I mean it's obvious he fancies you captain." Shadnar said crossing his arms and knuckles looks at him. "He does?" He asked and shadnar nods. "Well... unfortunately I do not fancy him that way. I've only seen him as a good crew mate and friend." Knuckles said. "I see. Well then who was it you spent the night with? I promise I won't tell." Shadnar said and Knuckles sighed. "Fine but this doesn't leave this room." Knuckles glared. "I vow that this will not leave this room." Shadnar said and Knuckles sighed. "We were drunk and I don't even remember sleeping with..... Sonic...." He said and Shadnar's jaw drops. "Holy shit....." he said. "The thing is I sorta..... wished I remembered." Knuckles said. "Why do you say that?" Shadnar said.

"Because I think.... I think I might have feelings for captain sonic..."
