One evening, as the sun dipped low on the horizon, Sora found herself drawn to the old cherry tree, the same spot where so many of her memories had been made. The gentle rustle of the leaves and the soft glow of the setting sun created an atmosphere of quiet introspection.

Kenji and Daichi were already there, waiting for her, their expressions a mix of hope and apprehension.

"Sora, we've been waiting for you," Kenji said softly, his eyes searching hers for answers.

Daichi stepped forward, his voice gentle yet resolute. "We know this isn't easy, but we need to know where we stand."

Sora took a deep breath, her heart pounding in her chest. "Kenji, Daichi, I... I've been doing a lot of thinking. And I've realized that my feelings for both of you run deep. But there's something I need to say."

Kenji and Daichi exchanged a glance, a silent acknowledgment passing between them.

"I care about both of you more than words can express," Sora began, her voice trembling with emotion. "But I've come to realize that my heart belongs to someone else."

Kenji and Daichi listened intently, their hearts heavy with the weight of her words.

"I understand, Sora," Kenji said softly, his voice filled with resignation. "I just want you to be happy."

Daichi nodded in agreement, a bittersweet smile tugging at his lips. "We both do. And we'll always be here for you, no matter what."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the three friends embraced, a sense of closure and acceptance settling over them like a comforting blanket.
