Camila POV

I was still very much in shock from everything, but the others seemed to have moved on, and were solely thinking about their family's, which I did understand, but couldn't they just sit down, and take a break for a second?

The others were marching so fast. I found it a little hard to keep up. My bag was heavy and my pants were rolled up to my thighs. It was hot, even for spring. I eventually called out to the others, I needed a break. "Hey, uh, hang on! Can't we just pause for a second? Where are we even going?" The others glanced back. They had been walking in silence, to god knows where.

It seemed to just occur to Anika, Charlie and Sam that they were walking with no idea or purpose as to what they would do now. We had agreed that they would go to each person's house to check on their families, but we didn't have any solid plan.

They stopped walking and I jogged to catch up with them, since they were still fairly in front of me. I set my bag on the ground and waited for them to say something. A plan. An idea. Anything.

The others also placed their bags on the ground, and sat down next to them. I was about to sit down exactly where I was standing, but realised, if I sat down here, I would be sitting next to Sam, and Charlie. I would much rather sit with Anika. It's not that I didn't want to sit next to Charlie, but I definitely didn't want to sit next to Sam.

I walked around to the other side of the circle, and sat right next to Anika, who shuffled away the tiniest bit. I cleared my throat slightly, signing that I was planning to speak first. "Can we figure out where we're going and what exactly we're gonna do?" I asked. Charlie was the one to respond. "Are we going to each person's house? To check on our families?" she asked.

"I think we should start with Anika's house, since her's is closer, after we check her house, we go to Camila's, then Charlie's then mine." Sam suggested, the order being closest to furthest away. The plan made sense to everyone, and everyone was in agreement with the plan. I groaned at the thought of walking such long distances and up the huge hills that led to my house.

I noticed Sam seemed to be thinking deeply about something, and I wish I didn't ask them what it was. When I asked them, they glanced at me with a look of slight...panic, took a few seconds and finally responded. "I, uh, just realised that all this is a lot like an anime I watched, called Dr Stone." We all groaned very loudly. Of course they would compare this to some random ass anime.

Since we were going to Anika's house first, we let her lead the way, but it was already starting to get late in the afternoon and we had just had a long day of school and our main priorities wasn't to get a huge head start.

After about 25 minutes of walking in silence, it finally seemed to dawn on us that we had no idea what we would do about food, and our whole living situation was. We were starting to get sore, tired and hungry. We walked to a nearby park, and sat down at one of the wooden benches.Well in this your house is further away.

Charlie glanced around at everyone. "Where are we gonna sleep?! I am NOT sleeping anywhere near Sam. Who knows what they'll do." Charlie shivered slightly at the thought. Anika paused to think about it. "There are a few choices we could make, but that depends how willing we are to break the law. We could sleep in like grass or something, we could...steal sleeping bags... or we could break into people's houses and sleep in their beds." She gave us the only options where we could sleep. They weren't great, but they were the only option.

Sam's face split into a huge stupid grin. "I wouldn't mind sleeping in other people's beds, if ya know what I mean" They stepped a little closer to the rest of us, and we instantly shot up from the bench, and moved to another one, Anika giving Sam a look of disgust, looking her up and down, like she was about to throw up.
