Two months had passed since the accident, and the Goenka Villa was beautifully decorated. Every corner of the house was filled with Akshara's pictures, her bright smile lighting up the atmosphere. Yet, despite the festive preparations, a sense of tension loomed in the air.

Naira was working on a list, but her face was solemn, her eyes lost in thought. Kartik noticed her and walked over, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Kartik: "Naira, mujhe pata hai tumhari aankhon mein aansu chup rahe hain. Tum udas ho,?"

Naira looked at him, her eyes brimming with tears.

Naira: "Kaise nahi hongi, Kartik? Akshu ke bina yeh sab kuch adhoora lag raha hai... har pal bas uski yaad aati hai."

Kartik nodded, understanding her pain.

Kartik: "Mujhe lagta hai tumhe jaake usse baat karni chahiye. Shayad tumhara man halka ho jaaye."

Naira: "Bura toh tumhe bhi lag raha hai. Par tum dikha nhi rahe. Main toh apni takleef ro rahi hun. Lekin tum toh apni takleef khud mein chupa rakhi hai. Isliye tum hi jaake baat karo."

Meanwhile, Kartik headed towards Akshara's room. Kartik opening the door and stepping inside, his face weighed down by a mixture of grief and guilt. An empty bed with Akshara's blanket neatly folded on it, and an eerie silence filled the room.

Kartik's voice trembled as he began speaking to the seemingly empty room.

Kartik: "I am sorry, Akshu. Main jaanta hun tumhe bahut bura laga hoga yeh sab dekhkar... saari taiyariyan tumhare bina... I'm really sorry, mera bacha."

His voice broke, and his eyes filled with tears.

For a moment, the silence in the room was deafening.

Suddenly, a faint voice came from near the window, breaking the silence. It was Akshara.

Akshara: "Papa, aap log mere birthday ki taiyari ab mere bina kar rahe ho? Aur subah se kisi ne mujhe neeche jaane tak nahi diya, surprise ke naam par!"

Akshara standing near the window with a mischievous smile. Kartik's expression immediately softened, a wave of relief washing over him.

Kartik, with a dramatic sigh of relief, walked over to her, a playful scolding tone in his voice.

Kartik: "Dekho, princess, hum tumhe bahar bhej kar kaise taiyari kar sakte hain? Abhi tak tum poori tarike se theek nahi hui ho, isiliye tumhe room mein rakha gaya hai. Please thoda adjust kar lo, bas thodi der ki baat hai. Jaise hi shaam hogi, tumhara surprise milega."

Akshara pouted but finally gave in, her playful nature returning.

Akshara: "Theek hai, main adjust karungi. Par bas thodi der ke liye!"

Kartik smiled, seeing his daughter's bright spirit. He leaned closer and gently ruffled her hair.

Kartik: "Achha, ab smile toh kar do. Smile karo, princess. Tumhari smile se hi toh sab kuch roshan hota hai."

As Akshara reluctantly smiled, Kartik's heart felt lighter. The tension that had built up seemed to melt away, replaced by warmth and love.

In the lobby, Naira, still emotional, looked at the picture of Akshara on the wall. Her hand reached out, touching the glass, and she whispered to herself, "Thank you, Bhagwan ji, ki hamari Akshu theek hai."

AT EVENING

The evening was set. The Goenka Villa was decked up like a palace-glittering lights, grand decorations, and a vibe that could only be described as magical. It felt like a scene from a fairy tale, where a princess's birthday was being celebrated with unmatched grandeur. And indeed, she was a princess-her papa's princess, the princess of the Goenka family.
