Vicky's POV:
It's been a week since we got back, and I can't shake this gnawing feeling of confusion and hurt. I feel bad about how things ended with Ara, but I don't know what to do. My emotions are all over the place, and every time I think about her, I'm torn between frustration and longing.
I keep myself busy with training, hoping to drown out the thoughts of her, but it doesn't help. The memory of her smile, her laugh, the way she looked at me with those trusting eyes-it all haunts me. I know I need to sort this out, but the thought of facing her again feels daunting.
Harry bhai notices my mood and tries to get me to open up, but I brush him off. "I'm fine, bhai. Just tired," I tell him, but he doesn't buy it.
"Vicky, you can't keep running away from this. Whatever happened between you and Ara, you need to deal with it," he says, his voice firm but caring.
I sigh, running a hand through my hair. "I don't know, bhai. I just don't know where to start."
He pats my shoulder. "Start by being honest with yourself. Figure out what you really feel."
I suddenly stand up, breathing heavily. "You know what! I'm going to forget about her! There are tons of other girls!"
Harry bhai just shakes his head in disbelief. As soon as he sees the other teammates coming in, we brush off the topic and focus on practice.
After finishing practice, I head back to my house. Seeing a lot of people around it, I frown and go closer, noticing police officers among the crowd. "Is anything wrong, officer?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.
One of the police officers' steps forward. "Oh, yes, Mr. Vikram Krishna. This is your house?" he asks.
"Yes, officer, I live here. Is everything alright?" I ask, worry creeping into my voice.
The officer looks at me seriously. "We've had a report of a break-in. Do you have a moment to come inside and check if anything is missing?"
I nod and follow the officer inside, keeping my composure. Everything is out of place-some things broken; the house is a mess. I make my way to my room and see so many things missing-not money, but personal stuff. Then I notice that my favorite bats are missing! The one I got specially made for me, and the one I used to score a double century! What the hell?!
I tell the officer everything, and he suggests it must be some crazy fans or someone who wants to sell those items for good value. I feel a mix of anger and helplessness wash over me.
Just then, my phone rings. It's Vee bhai, and the whole team is hanging out at his place. I answer, trying to keep my voice steady. "Hey, Vee bhai."
Vee bhai's voice comes through, "Hey Vicky! We all just saw what happened on the news! Where are you now? Do you want to come here?"
"It's on the news? How are these people so fast?! Ugh! Ohh and the house is a mess, bhai! The police said they will take care of the lost things!"
"You shouldn't stay there. Come here and stay with us until you get the house cleaned," Anu bhabi's voice cuts in. I can't go there; Ara will be there. I don't want to be around her right now. Before I can say anything, Harry bhai interrupts, and says, "You can stay at mine! I have a spare room."
But if I go there, he will just keep talking about Ara, and I don't want that. Then another voice comes in-Rahul anna's. "No, you don't. Isn't that room under some work? Vicky, you can stay with me!"
"Why don't you come here, and we can figure out things?" Ro bhai suggests, and we all agree, though I really don't want to.
I sigh and groan in frustration as I start packing a few clothes. The thought of facing the team right now, especially with everything that's going on, feels overwhelming. But I don't have much choice. I need to get out of this house and clear my head.
As I finish packing, I take one last look around my room, feeling a mix of anger and helplessness. I head out, locking the door behind me, and make my way to Vee bhai's place.
We gathered in Vee bhai's living room, the air thick with concern. I sighed, rubbing my temples. "So, what's the plan? I can't stay at my place with all this mess."
Vee bhai nodded, glancing around at the team. "Rahul has a spare room. You can stay with him for now."
"Yeah," Rahul anna chimed in. "It's no trouble at all, Vicky. But we also need to start looking for a new place for you."
I groaned, frustration bubbling up. "Great, just great. I've been in that place for years! It's perfect, and now it's all over the news. Everyone knows where I live."
Shub patted my shoulder sympathetically. "We'll find you something just as good, if not better."
"Easy for you to say," I muttered. "I loved that house."
Rahul anna gave me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, Vicky. We'll help you find a new home. For now, let's get you settled at my place."
I nodded, feeling a mix of gratitude and frustration. "Thanks, Rahul anna. Thank you so much!."
As we left Vee bhai's place and headed to Rahul anna's apartment, my mind was still reeling from everything that had happened. I tried to focus on the positives-at least I had a place to stay and the support of my teammates.
Once we arrived at Rahul anna apartment, he showed me to the spare room. "Maneyante ide, Vicky. Yenadru bekaadre heli."(Make yourself at home, Vicky. If you need anything, just let me know.)
[I'm not that good in Kanada so if there are any mistakes, I'm sorry! ]"Thanks, Rahul anna!" I said, setting my bag down. "Nanu naale hosa mane hudukuvudu aarambisuvenu." (I'll start looking for a new place tomorrow.)
"Tension thagoli, ninu ninna samaya tegeduko"(Take it easy! take your time) he replied. "Namma ellaru sahayakatege bandruvomme"(We'll all pitch in to help.)
As I lay down on the bed, I couldn't help but think about how much my life had changed in just a few days. I needed to find a new apartment. I'm not a picky person but still I need a place that feels like home!
Tomorrow, I will start fresh. But tonight, I just needed to rest.
