Vicky's Pov:
It's been two weeks since we came to an agreement for the housework. And my flirting? Ugh, I don't know where it came from! But it didn't stop there. I've been flirting with her more and more. I can't help it; I love the way she looks when she's annoyed.
This morning, as I walk into the kitchen, I see Ara making breakfast. I lean against the counter, watching her.
"Morning, Chef," I tease.
She glances over her shoulder, giving me a mock glare. "Morning, annoying roommate."
"Annoying? I thought I was charming," I say, giving her a playful wink.
She rolls her eyes, but I catch the hint of a smile. "You wish."
I grab a piece of toast from the plate she's setting out and take a bite. "You're just mad because you secretly like it."
"In your dreams, Vicky," she retorts, turning back to the stove.
I chuckle, enjoying the banter. "So, what's for breakfast today? More of your delicious cooking?"
"Yes, and if you keep talking, you might just get to eat it," she says, flipping a pancake.
I hold up my hands in surrender. "Alright, I'll behave. For now."
We finish breakfast in relative peace, but I can't resist throwing in one last tease as she gets up to leave. "You know, Ara, if you keep cooking like this, I might just have to marry you."
She freezes for a moment, her mouth dropping open, then turns and smirks. "In your dreams, Vicky."
"Every night," I reply with a grin, watching as she leaves the kitchen, glaring at me though there's a bright red blush on her cheeks.
As I clean up, I can't help but think about how much things have changed. I never expected living with Ara to be like this, but I have to admit, I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.

Two days later, it's a quiet evening. Ara's sitting on the couch, her laptop open as she works on her assignments. I'm at the kitchen table, flipping through a magazine, but my eyes keep drifting to her. The silence between us is comfortable, a stark contrast to the initial tension when we first moved in together.
"Hey, Ara," I call out, breaking the silence. "Need a break? How about we watch a movie or something?"
She looks up from her laptop, considering. "I could use a break. What do you have in mind?"
I walk over to the TV and start browsing through the options. "How about a classic? Maybe something funny?"
"Sure," she agrees, closing her laptop and moving to the couch. "Pick something good."
I settle on a comedy, and we both sit back, relaxing into the cushions. As the movie plays, I find myself glancing at Ara more often than the screen. Her laughter is infectious, and I can't help but feel a warmth in my chest.
Halfway through the movie, during a particularly funny scene, she leans into me, laughing. It's a natural, unguarded moment, and I realize how much I enjoy her company.
"See, I told you this would be fun," I say, nudging her lightly.
She rolls her eyes but smiles. "You got lucky with this pick. Don't get too cocky."
"I'll take my wins where I can get them," I reply, feeling more at ease than I have in a while.
As the movie ends, Ara stretches and yawns. "That was a good break. Thanks, Vicky."
"Anytime," I say, watching her as she gathers her things. "You know, we make a pretty good team."
She pauses, looking at me thoughtfully. "Yeah, we do. Maybe this won't be so bad after all."
I grin, feeling a sense of accomplishment. "Glad to hear it."
With that, she heads to her room, and I sit back, reflecting on how much our relationship has evolved. Living with Ara has turned out to be an unexpected but welcome change in my life.
