Willows POV:

—————————————————

'Maybe this guy wouldn't be as bad as Dawson said he was...'

———————

We slowed as we got to the parking lot at the local hospital, tying our horses to a fence pole near the doors. I slid off junipers back and loosened his cinch, then turning and rushing for the doors. Letting Dakota follow at whatever pace he wanted, not that I cared at this moment anyway.

"Willow slow down!" He whisper yelled as I ran up to the front desk " how may I help you today?" The receptionist asked in a monotone voice, looking up at me, glancing to Dakota them back to me. He tried to put his hand on my shoulder "Willow, breathe.." he said quietly, i quickly shook him off "Dawson coy sanders, bull riding accident. Where is he?!" I rushed, my eyes threatening to let tears fall.

"He's in the ER, go to the waiting room. What's your name ma'am and sir?" She asked lowly, clicking something on her computer before looking at us again "Willow coy sanders, I'm his sister." I said quickly "Dakota Anderson, just a friend" he smiled calmly, putting his hand on my back.

"Cmon, let's go to the waiting room. They'll call us when they have an update" Dakota said quietly from behind me, I nodded and slowly walked with him to sit down in the waiting room. We sat next to each other in two chairs that were slightly away from the rest, I pulled my knees up and hugged them, letting my head gently fall onto Dakotas shoulder.

"Just rest Willow, you've exhausted yourself . I'll wake you up when they call us" he said lowly, laying his head back "mhm, thank you.." I mumbled, clearing the rest of my thoughts and letting myself fall asleep, dispite my want to just be here alone, dakota was only helping, right?

——————

A couple hours later I felt myself start to stir in my seat, slowly opening my eyes and raising my head to look around. Dakota was awake, looking over to me with a soft smile "what time is it?" I asked quietly, my voice slightly hoarse and quieter than I had expected as I took in my surroundings better, seeing my parents in different chairs across the room, mom was in tears.

"It's 6:46pm, still no news.." he said quietly, adjusting so he could see me better, his face turning to worry when I started tearing up again.

'what... it's been six hours..?'

"Hey, it's going to be okay. He'll be fine, he's strong, right? He's very strong." Dakota said carefully, putting his hand on mine, which rested on my still raised knee. "No news? Nothing? In six hours?!" I cried, my voice breaking while I spoke, my parents saw me awake and stood up at my sudden spike in volume.

Dakota slowly put his arms around my curled up figure as my parents came over to me and both joined in hugging me as I started sobbing uncontrollably "he's going to be okay honey, it's okay.." my dad said lowly into the side of my head, struggling to hold in his tears.
