"No Jay, I got that cake as a gift for a friend, don't you dare touch it!" Sunoo yelled at Jay with whom the younger was talking through the phone, his loud voice just a portion of all the commotion around him. "Come on, Sun, please let me just eat it. I'll buy him another one. Do you want your bestie to die?" Sunoo yelled a few words at the phone once again, he didn't want to ruin Jake's surprise since all bakeries on Sundays would be closed. Sunoo shook his head and then tried to understand what the numbers on his ticket meant. "I'd much rather see you suffer and then die slowly." Sunoo chuckled when Jay groaned through the other side of the line and tried convincing him some more. He then noticed someone standing on the stage with a mic but chose to argue with Jay.

"Hello, lovelies!" Heeseung's voice echoed throughout the auditorium causing the area to become less noisy, catching Sunoo's attention, "I'm sure you have your tickets and are wondering about your position in line. Before confusion arises, I want to make it clear that the number on the ticket that is above your soulmate's name is your line number and the one below is the number of your position in that line. So if the above number is thirteen and the below one is twenty, you belong in line thirteen and on the twentieth position." Sunoo nodded, only half paying attention to Heeseung's announcement since Jay was still whining about the cake. He looked at his ticket once again, realizing he didn't register anything that was being announced. He was done for.

"Just fucking eat it, I'm sure Jake will understand when I tell him you made it disappear." Sunoo rolled his eyes when he heard Jay cheer and then cut the call, confused about what the numbers meant. How could he be careless about something so important? He panicked a little and ran around the area for some help but no one seemed to care. He tried to ask a few people but they were all rushing since a few minutes were only left before the ceremony would start. Overhearing a group of friends argue about the same thing, he decided to follow his gut feeling and tried to find his position. "The number above is the position in the line and the number below is the line number. Got it." He mumbled before rushing.

While Sunoo felt confident with the position he was standing on, Ni-ki, who was Japanese only stood there trying to understand what Heeseung was saying in Korean. Having only a few months spent in Korea, Ni-ki was still trying to learn their language and going to the marking ceremony alone then felt like a terrible idea. Heeseung's words went in through one ear and then out the other. He had no idea what the announcer was blabbering about and when he asked someone for help, no one seemed patient enough to stop and take him through the process slowly. And so, after using all the Korean knowledge he had and mixing up a few things, he found somewhere to stand, not realizing that it was completely different from what was supposed to be done.
