When Ni-ki saw the message from Sunoo, a sense of relief flooded him. Even though he didn't want to be talking to Sunoo, he still wanted to be united with his actual soulmate and not some annoying rat. He quickly grabbed his phone from the bed and then placed himself on top of it, ready to answer back. However, Sunoo's message made him groan. Why did he have to look for a job for two? They could just work separately and still earn. But the more Ni-ki thought about it, the more he realized that it was better if they looked for jobs for both of them so that it was not only easier but also quicker.

Sunoo was smarter than a rat, huh? Ni-ki quietly laughed at the thought and then replied to Sunoo with an 'okay', not wanting to make any kind of conversation between them. When Sunoo saw the reply, he let out a sigh of relief, glad that Ni-ki was not trying to argue with him for once. And then Ni-ki went to bed but Sunoo spent an hour updating his friends about the whole mix-up and then a few more glued to his laptop screen, hunting for jobs in convenience stores, cafes and whatnot. It took him some time but after filling out hundreds of forms, he was finally done applying for himself and Ni-ki. All he had to do was wait and hope that Ni-ki was looking for jobs too.

The next day when Sunoo woke up, the first thing he did was check his email for any response to his application letters but to his dismay, there was no answer. The boy let out a disappointed sigh and then turned off his laptop, moving on to texting Ni-ki. The boy dropped a quick text asking if he had any luck with the job hunt and then proceeded with his morning routine before going to school. Since it was the end of summer and the start of a new school year, he wanted to look perfect and make a good impression on the first day of his new university. He took his time in the shower and patiently did his skin routine, forgetting that the only time he had left was for putting on his uniform.

When Sunoo realized this, he rushed to wear his uniform and only drank a glass of cold milk before rushing towards the bus stand to catch the bus before it was too late. The boy was in such a rush that even after he reached closer to the stop, he didn't slow down until he was stopped by someone he banged onto. The black-haired boy quickly mumbled an apology before looking up only to find Ni-ki, "Never mind, I take it back. I hope it hurt." Ni-ki rolled his eyes and Sunoo just shot him a sarcastic smile and then walked away from him. "What a way to ruin my morning." Ni-ki huffed before he leaned against a pole, resting one foot against it and then shook his head.
