Glossary

#Altfactthink - A key tenet of CorpSoc: the ability to believe facts that are not true but which are important to the Corporate. #Altfactthink is the guiding principle of Ronspeak.

#Biglythinkful - A Ronspeak term for somebody whose thought is so dominated by Corporate teaching that they are incapable of thinking outside of what has been officially prescribed.

#Filterbubble - The Ronspeak verb for seeing only what others dictate to you. True practitioners of #filter-bubbling can replace direct visual and auditory stimulus with more acceptable beliefs.

#Ownlove - The Ronspeak word for anyone consumed with their own life who prefers solitude to attending company events. While the Corporate's advocates the pure primacy of individual freedom, #ownlove represents someone with too much freedom and thus suspect.

Amerussia - The home market of the Corporate. Geographically, it is made up of most of the continents of America as well as portions of former Russia. Amerussia is always pushing into other markets around the world. (See Immigration Department)

Big-R Burgers - Widely available synthesized meat burgers produced by the Corporate. Reportedly a favorite of The Ronald. (See The Ronald)

Bitdollars - Official currency of the Corporate. Each transaction is officially tracked digitally by a cryptographic hash.

Cancellation - To have all records of a person or item's existence purged from Corporate databases and physical media. Considered a fate worse than death in the case of people, it is often followed by the subject's actual death.

Conspiracy Department - A department of the Corporate for control of news, entertainment, education, and the fine arts. Called #DeptFakeNews in Ronspeak.

Corporate, The - A commercial organization and de facto political party. It has replaced the government as the organizing force in Amerussian society. Rank and file members of the Corporate wear orange jumpsuits. Upper management wear pinstripe suits and long red ties.

CorpSoc - Corporate Socialism, or the main ideology of the Corporate. Sometimes called Authcap or Authoritarian Capitalism. An extreme form of Socialism/Capitalism where public government is obliterated and all capital is generated and controlled by the Corporate, as embodied by the central figure of The Ronald. It is the primary ideology in Amerussia, mandating all political parties be replaced by the privately owned Corporate.

D++ - The official programming language of the Corporate operating system. Designed to be clear and concise when communicating with Corporate AI. The syntax is a combination of C++, Delphi and COBOL.

Ronald Youth Foundation - a for-profit organization for the betterment of young people through inculcation in the values of The Corporate.

Ronspeak - The official language of Amerussia, based on the philosophy of The Ronald (See CorpSoc). Inspired by his gnomic utterances, the goal of Ronspeak is to remove all nuance from language so only the principles and beliefs of CorpSoc can be expressed.

Ronald, The - An all-powerful leader figure, ostensibly the leader of Amerussia. He is never seen in person and may, in fact, be a digitized corporate mascot gleaned from old internet records. Sometimes appearing as a clown with orange and white face paint and an outrageous wig.

Eco-bomb - A smart bomb exploded in the atmosphere to reduce the effects of carbon pollution. An important part of the War on Climate.

Eurafrica - Sworn enemy of Amerussia. Consisting of a large portion of the former European Union and Africa.

Faceboogle - [Pronounced "Face Bugle"] Any device with a screen for displaying information. Also used for corporate surveillance.

Fax News - The venerable and primary news source of Amerussia. Official mouthpiece of the Corporate.

Firing Week - A week where the weakest employees of the Corporate (along with losers, immigrants, etc.) are "fired". Firing involves public hunting down and summary execution by other employees of the Corporate.

Human Resources Department - A department of the Corporate for maintaining law and order by any means necessary. Also involved with enforcing sexual relations based on the Ronald Scale. Called #DeptHR in Ronspeak.

Immigration Department - A department of the Corporate for control and elimination of foreigners and losers. Also concerned with war against other nations. Called #DeptOthers in Ronspeak.

Incel Laws - A set of laws describing appropriate sexual relations based on The Ronald Scale.

Libspeak - The name for Standard English in Ronspeak. An old, organically developed language slowly becoming obsolete.

Mandroid - A robotic servant, only available to corporate upper management.

Merger, The - When Amerussia was formed, merging a number of North American countries with a large swath of former Russia. Also known as The Hostile Takeover.

Neochina - A competing power to Eurafrica and Amerussia. Currently allied with Amerussia, it comprises much of China, India and Australia.

Precrime - Involuntary crime, committed by anticipating doing something illegal. Rarely requires concrete evidence, it often leads to cancellation. (See Cancellation)

Q Section - Common name for the Quality Control section of the Conspiracy Department. Its main responsibility is monitoring and influencing news broadcasts and social media.

Sex League - A Corporate organization that determines which members have sex with others. This is decided on individual ratings based on a scale of 1-10 called The Ronald Scale.

Takeover, The - the revolutionary moment when the Corporate assumed power and removed all competition from any competing private or national governments.

Thinkrite - A set of computer input peripherals consisting of integrated headphones, microphone, Augmented Reality glasses and motion sensors. The thinkrite is sensitive enough to human subvocalization to read a user's internal speech, effectively reading their mind, thus removing the need for a dedicated keyboard.

Three Minute Prey - A daily ritual for all employees of the Corporate whereby video of enemies of the people must be watched and railed against.

Trumpot - A brand of synthetic cannabis-nicotine cigarettes produced by the Corporate. The cigarettes are in plain white packaging with a stylized orange trumpet.

TRUTH Police - The secret police of Amerussia. The word truth is generally capitalized, although no one can remember why. Their main function is to prosecute anyone guilty of truthcrime and operate as the security enforcement arm of the Department of Human Resources. Truthcrime - Any effort to not accept corporate truth or to use objective facts in an argument against the Corporate. Truthcrime need not be stated openly and can be any unorthodox belief or tendency. A person can be fired for truthcrime, even though they never explicitly disobey the Corporate. (See Firing Week)

Winning Department - A department of the Corporate for assessing economic affairs as well as the sale and franchise of all Corporate products. Called #DeptWinning in Ronspeak.

YouFlix - A social media entertainment device in the form of augmented reality glasses. It contains images and videos of human intercourse considered acceptable to the Corporate.
