By the time I arrived back at my house, it was around one in the afternoon. I had just parked my truck when I see my neighbor walking up to my door. Quickly getting out I call out to him, hoping to help him with whatever it is he needs.

"Afternoon, Officer Keats, can I help you?" I called out to him as I close the driver's side door to my truck, swinging my black backpack onto my left shoulder.

"Oh, there you are!" He exclaims as he turns to look at me. "I was dropping off some mail that was accidentally put in my mailbox instead of yours."

"Well, thank you, sir." I say as I walk up the few front steps to stand in front of him. "I'll go check my mail and make sure there are no other mistakes." I drop my backpack and prop it up against the front door, as the two of us walk down my, decently long, driveway.

I was currently under the broken-down lawn mower, slowly taking it apart, while some AC/DC played in the background. I was completely zoned out, exactly how I wanted to be today. The music blocking out the sounds of the nature surrounding me as I worked.

"Myra!" I hear a voice call out, scaring me.

I sit up, hitting my head on the lawnmower above me, and I let out a small yelp at the contact. Putting a hand over my mouth, as I don't have my mask, I crawl out from under the lawnmower.  Looking up I see, Maria's eyes slightly wide.

"You okay?" She says, stepping closer with her hands raised at me.

"Yeah." I breathe out, "Fine." I finish as I stand up, and turn towards her. "Why are you here?"

"I wanted to talk." She says, her face turning from shock and worry, to shy and soft.

"So we're just randomly showing up at each other's places now?" I ask, slightly irritated at the unannounced visit.

"I'm sorry for not calling beforehand, but I felt like if I did you would have avoided it, me." She spoke, eyeing me up and down. "You're like Stark."

"Like Stark?" I ask, looking down swiftly to see what I was wearing after she looked me up and down.

"The music taste I mean." She clarified, but I feel like there was a deeper meaning she didn't mention.

"Oh." I mutter as I turn and walk over to the top of the lawnmower where my grey drop armhole shirt was wadded up, and pull it over my head.
