The Batcave hummed with activity, a stark contrast to the quiet, serene atmosphere of Kate and Sophie's apartment. Harley's giggles echoed off the walls, blending with the sound of clanking tools and whirring machines. Luke Fox was hard at work, putting the finishing touches on Harley's very own superhero suit.
Harley twirled around in excitement, her pacifier bobbing in her mouth. "Mama, Mommie, I'm so 'cited!" she squealed, her voice muffled but brimming with joy.
Kate and Sophie watched with fond smiles, their hearts swelling with pride and affection. "We're excited too, sweetie," Kate said, brushing a lock of hair from Harley's face. "You're going to look so cool."
Luke stepped back, admiring his work with a satisfied grin. "Alright, Harley. Your suit is ready. Want to try it on?"
Harley's eyes widened with excitement. "Yes, pwease!"
Luke handed her the suit, a miniature version of Batwoman's but tailored to Harley's needs and preferences. The suit was a mix of pink and blue, matching her hair highlights, and adorned with small bat symbols. It was designed to provide both protection and comfort, with special features to help Harley manage her sensory needs.
With a little help from Kate and Sophie, Harley slipped into the suit, giggling all the while. Once she was fully dressed, she stood in front of the mirror, her eyes shining with awe.
"I look like a weal superhero!" she exclaimed, twirling around to admire herself from every angle.
"You sure do," Sophie said, her voice filled with emotion. "You look amazing, Harley."
Luke handed her a matching mask, completing the look. "This mask will help protect your identity. Plus, it has special lenses to help with your vision."
Harley put on the mask, feeling a surge of confidence. "Fank you, Wuke! I wuv it!"
"You're welcome, Harley," Luke replied, ruffling her hair gently. "Now, are you ready for some training?"
"Yes!" Harley bounced on her toes, eager to start.
They spent the next few hours training in the Batcave, guiding Harley through various exercises and drills. Kate and Sophie were amazed at how quickly she picked up the skills, her enthusiasm and determination shining through.
"Great job, Harley! You're a natural," Kate praised, watching her navigate an obstacle course with surprising agility.
Harley beamed, her pacifier bobbing as she bounced in place. "I wanna be wike you, Mama!"
"You already are, sweetheart," Sophie said, hugging her tightly. "You're our little hero."
As the evening wore on, they decided to call it a day. Harley was exhausted but happy, her energy finally waning as they headed back to the apartment. Kate and Sophie helped her out of her suit, tucking her into bed with her favorite sensory toys and noise-canceling headphones.
"Night-night, Mama. Night-night, Mommie," Harley murmured, her eyes drooping.
"Goodnight, Harley. Sweet dreams," Kate whispered, kissing her forehead.
"We love you," Sophie added, brushing a lock of hair from Harley's face.
The next morning, the city of Gotham was abuzz with news of Batwoman's latest escapade, accompanied by a mysterious new hero. The radio station and news channels were filled with speculation and curiosity.
"We've received reports of a new hero aiding Batwoman last night. Witnesses describe a small figure, possibly a child, dressed in a pink and blue suit. Could it be Harley Quinn turned hero? Or is this a new sidekick?" the radio host speculated.
