Harley sat in her playpen, surrounded by an array of brightly colored toys. Her favorite plushies, blocks, and sensory toys were scattered around her. She was happily engrossed in her own little world, babbling to her toys and occasionally giggling. Her pacifier bobbed rhythmically in her mouth as she played, creating a picture of pure innocence and joy.

Kate and Sophie were cuddled up on the couch, watching Harley with affectionate smiles. The soft glow of the afternoon sun bathed the room in a warm, golden light. They cherished these moments of tranquility, a stark contrast to their often chaotic lives.

"She looks so happy," Sophie murmured, resting her head on Kate's shoulder.

Kate nodded, her eyes never leaving Harley. "She does. It's amazing how far she's come."

Their peaceful moment was interrupted by a knock at the door. Sophie got up to answer it, revealing Mary standing on the other side. She was carrying a bag filled with snacks and a couple of new toys for Harley.

"Hi, Mary! Come on in," Sophie greeted, stepping aside to let her in.

"Hey, guys! Thought I'd drop by with some goodies," Mary said with a smile, holding up the bag.

As Mary entered, Harley looked up from her playpen, her face lighting up with excitement. "Auntie Mary!" she squealed, clapping her hands.

"Hey there, cutie pie!" Mary responded, setting the bag down and making her way to the playpen. She leaned over and gave Harley a big hug. "I brought you some new toys and snacks."

"Fank you, Auntie Mary!" Harley said, her eyes wide with joy as she peeked into the bag.

Mary took out a soft, plush unicorn and handed it to Harley. "Here you go, sweetie. I thought you might like this."

Harley's face lit up as she hugged the unicorn tightly. "I wuv it! It's so soft!"

Kate and Sophie watched with warm smiles, grateful for Mary's presence and the joy she brought to Harley. "Thanks for coming over, Mary. It's always great to have you here," Kate said.

"Anytime. I love spending time with my niece," Mary replied, giving Harley's hair a gentle ruffle.

Mary sat down on the floor next to the playpen, joining Harley in her play. They built towers with blocks and played with the sensory toys, Harley's giggles filling the room. Kate and Sophie watched, their hearts full of love and contentment.

As the afternoon wore on, Mary shared stories from her day at the clinic, and they all laughed together. The sense of family and togetherness was palpable, a comforting contrast to the darkness they often faced in Gotham.

"Harley, do you want to show Auntie Mary what we've been practicing?" Sophie asked, giving her a playful wink.

Harley nodded enthusiastically, bouncing on her knees. "Yes, Mommie! I show Auntie Mary!"

She carefully climbed out of the playpen, her little legs wobbling slightly as she stood up. Kate and Sophie watched with pride as Harley demonstrated some of the moves she had learned during her training sessions. Mary clapped and cheered, genuinely impressed by Harley's progress.

"Wow, Harley! You're amazing!" Mary praised, giving her a high-five.

Harley beamed with pride. "Fank you, Auntie Mary! I twyin' my best!"

"You're doing great, sweetie," Kate said, pulling Harley into a warm hug.

Sophie joined in, wrapping her arms around both of them. "We're so proud of you, Harley."

The room was filled with warmth and love, a safe haven from the chaos of the outside world. They spent the rest of the afternoon playing games, sharing stories, and simply enjoying each other's company.
