Drums?

I grab my coffee order and head back outside to my car. I pull up to the studio and walk into the room me and the Motionless guys are in.

"I gotta drop coffee off for Ruby and Scrim real quick." I say as the guys take their coffee, thanking me.

I knock on the room door and hear a 'come in'. I walk in and see Ruby in the recording booth going over some parts.

"Hey, babe." Scrim grins as I walk over to him and give him a hug.

"Hey, I brought you guys some coffees." I grin as Scrim takes them from my hands and sets them down.

"Thank you." Scrim smiles as I nod.

"Of course! Everything going good?" I ask as Scrim nods.

"Yeah, shits real good today! Vocals are perfect, all my beats are working like I thought." Scrim grins and I can just feel how excited he is.

"That's great! Alright, I gotta head back to my room." I say as Scrim nods.

"I hope things go as good for yall as they have for us." Scrim smiles knowing it hasn't been amazing.

"Me too." I let out a small chuckle as Scrim smiles softly.

I walk back into our room and Vinny starts talking about how he's confused on the drumming. Which, I understand cause I haven't been great at explaining how I want things to sound and I've been changing it a lot.

"Luna, how did you want it to sound?" Vinny asks as I walk over.

"Pretty slow and like kinda sad, but has the nostalgic love factor to it." I try to explain, but fall flat making all of us laugh.

"Hold on, let me try." I say as Vinny stands up, handing me his drumsticks as I sit.

"That's probably the best thing to do."  Vinny smiles as I nod.

"I'm sorry I haven't been too great at explaining it." I apologize as Vinny shakes his head.

"It's not a problem, I just want you to be happy with the song." Vinny smiles as I nod.

"Thank you. Thank all of you for helping out. This would've been hell to do alone." I smile as we all chuckle a bit as they all say it's been fun.

"Ok, so I'm kinda thinking a quite drum up until I get to the more intense parts then everything will go up." I say as the guys sit down with their coffees and I get adjusted.

I start the simplistic type beat and the door opens. I smile at Ruby and Scrim as I keep going.

"But for the ending I want something a little more upbeat and aggressive almost." I say as I adjust myself again.

I start a drum beat that's a little faster than before, but gives the same feel nonetheless.

"Is that better?" I ask as Vinny nods.

"Yeah, thank you." Vinny smiles as I nod.

"Of course." I smile as I hand Vinny his drumsticks back and take his spot on the couch next to Ruby.

"I didn't know you played drums." Ruby smiles as Scrim nods.

"Yeah, I've been playing them since I was a teenager." I smile as Ruby takes my hand and I intertwine our fingers.

Ruby places a soft kiss to my hand as Vinny starts playing the drums so we can record them. We finish in the studio and the guys leave, telling me they'll see me tomorrow, but I stay back in the room. Ruby and Scrim walk in as I hum the lyrics trying to figure out how to make them sound for 'Tonight'.

"Can you guys help me record some vocals real quick?" I ask as they close the door.

"Of course." Ruby smiles as he pulls a chair next to the one Scrim sat in.

I walk into the room and let out a sigh as I place my headphones on.

"I'm gonna do a small run through first." I say making them give me a thumbs up.

I start to sing the song and as I go, I know exactly where to put my accentuations. I finish the run through and hold up a finger. I do my background vocals and come back out of the booth.

"That sound ok?" I ask as the guys nod.

"Yeah!" Ruby says like it's obvious making us laugh.

"Thank you! I wanna try a couple things on the drums and guitar then we can go home, I promise." I smile as they nod.

I got back in the booth and we record the drumming Vinny welcomed me to redo for the song, then I work on my guitar that Ryan encouraged me to play with and show him. I'm really happy with how it sounds so we leave for home. We get home and order dinner.

"Wait, so what can you do on drums?" Ruby asks as we eat.

"I can do most stuff. I taught myself with more heavy metal songs, but I'll try anything." I smile as Ruby nods.

"You should play a song for us on drums." Scrim smiles as I chuckle.

"Sure, I got my drum kit in the basement, then Ruby can try it." I smile as Ruby chuckles.

"Sounds like it'll be fun." Ruby smiles as I nod.

We finish eating dinner and head down to the basement. I smile at my black and red drum kit.

"Ok, so one of my favorites to play is 'One Hundred Sleepless Nights' by Pierce The Veil." I smile as I sit down and grab my sticks.

I do the drumming and get cheers from Ruby and Scrim as I finish.

"Thank you." I chuckle as I walk over and hand Ruby my sticks.

"What's one you like?" I ask as Ruby shrugs.

"No idea, maybe I'll play one from one of my old bands." Ruby smiles as he sits down.

Ruby finishes his song and gets the same reactions from me and Scrim as they gave me.

"Now, we should all go to bed." Scrim jokes as he puts an arm around me that I hold.

"Yeah, probably." I laugh as they join me.

"It's definitely time to go to bed with how all of us are acting." Ruby says making us laugh again.

We agree to go to bed and go upstairs. We say our goodnights and head into our rooms. I change and slip in bed as Ruby showers. I feel myself start to fall asleep, but silently deny myself that until Ruby comes to bed.

"You could've slept that whole time." Ruby mumbles tiredly as I cuddle into him.

"I know, but I wanted to wait for you." I mumble just as tired.

"You're so sweet. Goodnight, Luna." Ruby kisses my cheek as I hum.

"Goodnight, Aristos." I smile and give him a kiss before I fall asleep.
