Two days had passed with me running off to my work-study with Mirko. Things were quieter, but some of the heroes were mourning the loss of Sir Nighteye, Endeavors former side-kick and Midoriya's late work-study teacher. I helped Mirko patrol a wider range of Japan as some of the heroes took time to compose themselves. On a quiet day, we casually walked the streets and I stopped when I heard someone approaching from the alley. I looked down to see a man with dragon-like wings speeding towards me and once he was close enough, I froze him in place.
"Sakura!" Yelled Endeavor who approached from behind him.
"Oh. He was your catch?" I asked. "And please refrain from using my real name while I'm in costume. It's Frostfire."
"Who the hell do you think you are?!" Yelled the man in my ice. "Let me go!... I'm cold." He pouted.
"Thanks for the assistance." Endeavor said as he started melting the ice and freed the man's hands to cuff him.
"Good to see you, fire-man!" Mirko enthusiastically greeted him. "I'm glad my little one could be of assistance!" She said while putting her arm around my shoulder.
"Well, she's actually my little one. There's no need for that."
"You're right. She's your little one, and you really trained her well. She's gonna be a top hero in no time. She has your fiery spirit, after all."
I looked away and sighed. "We should get going." I interrupted. "He has this under control."
"Wait." Endeavor spoke. "Can the three of us meet up for dinner? It'll be my treat and I'll be sure to take you somewhere great."
"You don't-."
"That would be great!" Mirko smiled. "Text me the time and location, and we'll be there!"
We walked away and I huffed before glaring at her. "Why did you do that?"
"He's your old man, Frostfire. And he's the number one hero. It would be rude of me to decline, and it's time for you to deal with one issue in your life. Plus, he makes the big bucks. Let's make sure to use his money while we can." I smiled at her before laughing. She was smart.
Once dinner approached, we met Endeavor in front of this large restaurant with the windows covered by curtains. We went inside and the inside was extremely fancy. There were a bunch of tables covered in white tablecloths, hanging lights, and lamps in the center of every table. The decorations were incredible and the people that sat at these tables looked wealthy. I had never experienced a restaurant like this. We were escorted to our table as people stared and fawned over two of the top heroes. We were handed our menus and I looked through it to see no prices. I awkwardly pressed my lips together and put it down.
"Are you okay?" He asked me and I nodded.
"Yea, I guess." I answered. "I've never been to a place like this. I don't know what the menu is even talking about."
"If you want, I can help you decide."
"... I like savory, and maybe a little salty, foods. I'm not too picky, but I'm not a big fan of anything with a mushy or slimy consistency."
"Sakura, I know what you like. I'll get you the lobster and a side of rice. It'll be fried with a mix of vegetables, and I'll tell them to add beef, so that you can eat more protein. It's been a long day, so how about I get you a matcha drink?"
"... Sounds good." Maybe he did kinda know me.
"I don't know about you two, but the butter-basted pork chops sound amazing." Said Mirko.
"I thought you didn't eat meat."
"I cheat on special occasions. What's more special than the number one hero treating you to dinner?" The waiter soon arrived to take our orders and Endeavor ordered for me. We were quickly given our drinks and were left to wait for our food.
