The Guardians

Chapter Two- Out Cold...

“So what's going on Kev?” asked Dax as they were on their way to school. Kevin was one of Dax's only friends. The only friends he had were either in the guild or Jess. Dax was truly alone but still had friends. He thought he shouldn't make his life more complicated then it was, so he just decided to be happy where he was. “Oh nothing, just my sister drove to school without me. Again.” Kevin said with a tiring look. “Oh that sucks I bet. Are you tired man? You look like you barely got any sleep.” said Dax as he stared at Kevin. Kevin looked at Dax and put his finger on his forehead. “Don't worry. I'll do some work in my head and cure my sleepiness.” Dax just looked at him and said “Dude, you can do that? That sounds amazing! You should do that to me sometime because Mr. Beakers class is so boring.” Kevin just laughed and nodded his head.

They finally reached the school and headed into their classes when they met up with Jamie and Anne. Anne apologized to Kevin for leaving him but she explained that she had a test to redo before school started so she could get credit for last year. Kevin said “It's okay Anne, don't worry. I had some company so I'm okay.” Then they started talking about it and Dax lost interest.

Suddenly Dax caught himself staring off into the distance when the school doors opened and in came a girl who had stricken Dax's eyes. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes on. She truly had his heart and she didn't even know it. He was still staring when out of nowhere Jamie turned to him and said “Dax! Duck!” Then WHAM! Dax flew into the locker and smashed the door. He was pushed into those lockers by Matthew Grimes, the bully who favored Dax since 3rd grade. “Hey Embrey! Move out of my way or I'll pound you!” said Matt. Dax got back up and replied “Ya! Like you pounded the living crap out of your brain with all those guys pounding you against the ground in your so called football game then proceeding to play grab ass in the showers!” Everyone was dead silent. Dax could not believe what he had just said. Matt was red like the butt of a baboon.

Matt furiously charged at Dax. He made one hit at Dax, but Dax had dodged it. He looked at Matt then he saw that girl and WHACK! A fist to the face. Dax was nearly out. Matt was over him, kicking him, when the girl stood in front of Matt and tried to stop him, but ended up getting pushed to the ground and that was the point where Dax lost control. His fast regeneration power healed him faster than ever. Dax got up and started swinging his fist, making every hit to Matt's stomach. Then Dax jumped on Matt's back and beat his head atleast fifteen times. Then with a last move, Matt throw Dax to the ground and Dax looked at the girl. She was hurt but standing. Hurt, not physically, but emotionally. That's when Dax passed out. Out Cold...
