The library was warm, the candles lit around the area emanating a soft and welcoming glow. Nightmare seemed more than pleased with the expanse of knowledge, plucking books off the shelf and flipping through them every so often, just to see what condition they were in. "You know, Night..." Nightmare turned to his twin, the one that had been nearly attached at the hip to him since they'd left the meeting room. "I think you and Trep would really get along nice!" Nightmare sighed and sat down on one of the sofas with a book on plants, opening it to trees. Killer sat next to him, leaning against him quietly. Killer had been out of his element all day, and Nightmare Soul panged with guilt seeing how upset Killer was now. It had taken far too long for Killer to be comfortable around Dream, but now that he was, he felt he could let his emotions loose. Thus, the cause of his wobbling Soul and dull eyes. "I would rather not think about it at the moment, brother. Killer, what ails you?" The tar-streaked skeleton let out a half-laugh, half-sob, his smile strained as he fought back tears. "Oh, you know, the fucking– fear of being killed in my sleep. I'm fine, your fucking majesty."
Nightmare sighed and wrapped an arm around his close friend, touching their skulls together to remind Killer that he was here for him. It was enough for now, the shorter of the two sighing and muttering an apology. "There is no need to apologize...you are scared, and that is okay. I don't think there are any of us who are not reasonably worried about...such a thing." Dream chimed in rather quickly, beaming at Killer. "But! I promise you that you'll be okay! I'll make sure to keep an eye on you, okay, Killer?" Nightmare didn't miss how Killer's cheeks burned a dull red at the promise, nor was he upset. Rather, he thought the two would make a cute pair. Unfortunately, he was an empath of sorts, and was aware Dream had feelings for another- for this Trep character he seemed so hellbent on Nightmare liking. Nightmare was partially hoping that Trep's own hatred towards him would have the two become distant, if only so Killer could swoop in and the two would be together but...perhaps it was wishful thinking. "Oh, Night?" "Mm?" "You said you had a question earlier." "Oh yes..."
"What was that graveyard all about?"

Trep spent most of his day telling his loved ones his observations about the Dark Sanses before he checked the time and headed to the kitchen for lunch. If he was lucky, he could catch Wine and help him cook, maybe a little lunch could help break the ice, despite his own misgivings about the merge. It was happening anyway, so he figured it was about time to accept it. Even if his family wasn't actually there, he imagined that it was what Jasmine would have wanted. So he moved down the halls and into the kitchen, just as Wine was washing his hands to make lunch. Trep rolled up his sleeves to do the same. "So, what's the course for today? You seem to already have an idea." Trep commented as he saddled up beside the smaller skeleton. "I Was Thinking Of Ordering Up A Bunch Of Pizzas. It Should Be Enough To Feed Two Alliances, Yes?" Trep shrugged as he started the process of washing up himself. "Like two of every kind or something?" Trep asked to which Wine nodded as he dried his hands. "I Imagine That Is How Much It Would Take To Feed Everyone, Yes." Trep hummed and took the towel when Wine was done. "Do we even have the money for that?" "What Does That Matter? I Imagine That We Would, Yes." Wine brought out his phone so they could start ordering.
"I mean...fair, but shouldn't you ask first?" Wine clicked his tongue, glaring jokingly at his friend. "Why don't you go ask your little boyfriend?" It took Trep a second to realize that Wine was talking about Dream, but he just sighed. "Wine, you know that we're not together." One of the Dark Alliance members walked in...the one that didn't look like he belonged, Ccino. "Heya, you guys starting food?" Wine and Trep gave each other glances, but the latter decided that...well, this guy looked harmless enough. "Yeah, pizza." Ccino nodded, sighing quietly. "You might need to get one that's dairy-free, for dietary purposes." Wine seemed to immediately connect with the other, grinning and starting to go one about how he himself could make a pizza with no lactose, something Ccino just smiled and listened to. It...clicked. Ccino wasn't a murderer, he was an informant. Laid back, soft looking, and sweet. He was a fucking mole, wasn't he? He glanced at Ccino, only for the other to already be looking at him, almost like he'd read Trep's mind. It...was really unsettling.

FanficTrep came from an AU similar to Horrortale and Axetale. There was little to no food, threats around every corner, and a terrible Monarch on top of it all. The one thing he had going for him was his family. His brother, Portentous, his wife, Jasmine...
