Chapter 2, Beach Bums

So, far everyday this week these kids loved going to the beach. The beach or the pool here! You would think that these kiddos were part fish or something like that! It was fantastic being here! I loved playing in the waves or the sand with them.

I smelled like sunscreen as well as salt water by the end of every day that passed us by. We would get ice cream from this fantastic parlor in town that made it home made. Or stop by Waves store to get salt water taffy. I felt like a kid again just being back here!

I washed and showered all the sand off myself before dinner that night. Night time was aunties time off. Jeffery was going to cook out tonight on the back deck. He was a fantastic chef. Callie was lucky to have him.

I changed my clothing once I dried off. I brushed a comb in my tangled wet hair. Letting it air dry. It was very hot today. We had been here about three days and I could see a tan line already in my skin.

I grab my romance book I brought a few of them. I was ready to rest on my cozy bed and read. Before dinner. All I could hear was the whirr of my fab above my head.

"Now, this is the life" I mutter. Peace and quiet. Everyone needed some in their life.

"Aunt Elsie!"

Izzy. I sigh.

"In my room" i announced to her.

She barges inside.

"Can you please braid my hair like you did the other day? Randy said he liked it that way" she softly tells me.

She had a brush and a hair scrunchie with her.

"Randy?"

"Randy Butler. Please don't tell dad yet....you know that cute boy I saw surfing!? We have been talking a bit. Dad says no boys yet to be a boyfriend. But he's not, a boyfriend, we are just friends. We like alot of stuff like, tv shows the same books. You won't tell right? It's not a big deal!" she declares.

Hannah always tried to sneak around having a boyfriend already. But this was new for shy Izzy! She must really like this guy.

Ahhh summer love.

"I won't tell. For now. But if I see kissing or hand holding I will have to tell your dad! Rules are rules for a good reason. And yes I will braid your hair. Sit here ok?" I explain to her sternly. She nods then sigh's looking happy.
