The days that followed the revelation were a whirlwind of confusion and reflection for Meghna. She spent countless hours locked in her room, staring out the window, trying to reconcile her feelings. The man she thought she loved had deceived her, and now she was faced with the possibility of a new future with someone she barely knew. Her heart was heavy with betrayal and uncertainty, and the once-clear path of her life now seemed shrouded in mist.
Mythili, concerned about her daughter's well-being, knocked gently on her door one afternoon, entering with a tray of tea and snacks.
"Kanna, you need to eat something. You've been in here for hours."
Meghna turned away from the window, her eyes red and puffy from crying.
"I don't know what to do,Amma . Everything feels like it's falling apart."
Mythili set the tray down and sat beside her daughter, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
"I know it's hard, Meghna. But sometimes life takes us in unexpected directions. What matters is how we choose to move forward."
Meghna leaned into her mother's embrace, taking comfort in her warmth.
"What if I make the wrong choice?"
"There's no right or wrong choice,"
Mythili said gently.
"Only what feels right in your heart. And whatever you decide, we'll support you."
That evening, Suriya came over, bringing flowers and a tentative smile. He knocked softly on Meghna's door.
"May I come in?"
Meghna looked up from her bed, where she had been reading. She hesitated, then nodded.
"Sure."
Suriya stepped inside, handing her the flowers.
"I thought these might brighten your day a bit."
Meghna took the flowers , their delicate fragrance filling the room.
"Thank you, Suriya. They're beautiful."
He sat down on the edge of the bed, his expression serious.
"I know this is difficult for you, Meghna. I can't imagine how you must feel. But I want you to know that I'm here for you, whatever you decide."
Meghna sighed, setting the flowers on her bedside table.
"I appreciate that, Suriya. It's just... everything is so confusing right now. I don't know what to think or feel."
Suriya reached out, gently taking her hand.
"You don't have to decide anything right now. Let's take things one step at a time. How about we start by getting to know each other better? No pressure, no expectations. Just two people trying to find their way."
Meghna looked at their joined hands, feeling a small spark of hope.
"Okay. We can do that."
