It's been two days since me and Zigzag have had our late night talk and now we're closer than ever. Every day he has waited for me to finish my hole so he can walk me back to camp. Also he has been giving me his jello after every meal so I at least eat something. Nobody has given me that much attention in a while and every time it gives me butterflies in my stomach.
I feel like I might have a crush on zigzag but I can't tell. On one hand he's cute, respectful, and gives me attention but on the other hand I can't tell if I like him or if I just like the attention. He hasn't told me much about his home life so now it's my objective to get to know one thing about him every time he gives me a thing of jello. It sounds dumb but I really do want to know him.
After dinner the d tent boys go to shower and zigzag waits for them to leave before he hands me his lime jello. Right before he gets up I grab him forearm so he stops.
"Hey zig, wait."
"What's up?" He says sitting back down.
"Why do you always give me your jello?" I ask moving to a cross legged position.
"Well I guess I just want you to eat...that's all." He shrugs.
"But you wouldn't do that for the other boys"
"I guess your just different." Zigzag says standing up and heading out of the tent. I'm different. Is that a good or a bad thing? Am I different because he cares for me more or because he thinks I can't fend for myself? Is it because I'm a girl? Shirley it's not that right? He would probably do the same for squid right? Maybe I'm just over thinking.
It's just jello it's not that important. It's just jello. He's not confessing his love or anything like that right? I'm just being dumb he's only looking out for me. I take a bite of the jello and I can't help but smile. At least he's thinking about me.
"Yo whatcha smiling about venom?" X ray says as he sits down.
"It's nothing don't worry about it man, it's just really good jello"
"Yeah yeah, it's totally just jello" I smiles and rolls his eyes, he then lays down and puts his arms behind his head.
"Yeah man, it's just jello" I say smiling and laying down.
