If anyone was to ask her what she was thinking about as she stared death straight in the face she'd lie and say something like 'I was glad to know I would find peace in my fathers domain' or just something really wise that would make kids for generations ponder over her words

Her eyes were screwed shut as the wind was too harsh against them to the point having them open made them genuinely ache. Percy still had her wrist tightly in his hand but both were being flung around like rag dolls.
She didn't know how long till she would hit the river but she remembered hearing Grover make a comment to AnnaBeth along the lines of 'falling from this hight would be like hitting pure concrete' she was only just realising how Grover had jinxed her and Percy in that moment and began to curse him out too
suddenly she felt a cold sensation circle around her and Percy that she immediately realised was water as it began to pull the two Demi-gods in the direction of the river and she kept her eyes tightly shut
But her heart dropped as she felt Percy's grip on her wrist disappear
Before she could have any time to react and Try to find the boy, she fell into murky river water but it didn't hurt. it was soft like when you'd jump onto a soft mattress. She sank into the river slowly.
Just then the panic began to seep in. She hated water with a passion, that's what happens as a big three kid you tend to have a fear of a domain that isn't your godly parents so she fears water. She never thought to learn to swim because she thought she could just avoid swimming completely.
She's delusional but that's okay because she had found it comforting growing up
But now as she sank down to the bottom of the river she desperately kicked her feet trying to get herself to float to the surface. She remembered hearing from one of the Athena kids that when in water you hold your breath until you inevitably black out, voluntarily apnea? That's what she thinks they called it.
