Hog's Head

I was strolling down the same dark hallways, slower this time. I watched every grey door on my left and right vanish as I passed them. Only one door caught my attention. At the very end of the hall, the door I can't seem to open. The white light was slipping through every opening of the door, lighting up everything around it. I moved towards it, bathed in the shining light. I reach out my hand and grasp the handle.

       It's locked.

I woke up, breathing heavily and sweating. What time was it? I thought to myself. I looked around to see no one in my dorm room. What? I couldn't have possibly been asleep that long. I quickly got ready, unsure of how late I was. I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the common room. I saw everyone heading to the Great Hall. It was still breakfast. Ginny and Hermione have been waking up earlier and leaving to go get breakfast before Ron eats it all.

Wish they'd wake me up before they leave though. I never really cared much for breakfast. I'm never hungry in the morning. So I don't mind not having much to eat by the time I get down there. I saw the frizzy hair of Hermione and four gingers and made my way over to them. "Hey guys." I took a seat between Fred and George.

Just when they were about to make a snappy remark about me waking up late, Hermione yelled,"I cannot believe it!"

She threw a newspaper onto the table without any explanation. Ron took it and began reading. "Ministry passes Educational Decree Number Twenty-Three: Delores Umbridge Appointed Hogwarts High Inquisitor."

"What's that mean?"Harry asked, taking a seat next to Ginny.

"It says here that the High Inquisitor has the power to inspect all the teachers. That means she can also sack them if she wants to. And Dumbledore won't have a say." I informed them.

"You're kidding!" Ron whined.

"Personally, I envy you four." George looked at me, Harry, Ron, and Hermione.

"Why's that?" Ron asked.

"Umbridge is inspecting McGonagall in your period. That old toad won't know what hit her." Fred finished.

"Hey, I called Umbridge that during detention!" I laughed.

"Oh, to be youth again, to experience the innocent glee of watching Umbridge be destroyed by the greatest Head Gryffindor this century." George sighed wistfully.

"Well, we'll expect a whole report after." Fred looked at me.

"Complete with facial expressions. And voice impressions." George smiled as I smacked his arm.

Later that day, we went to Divination class. Hermione had dropped out so it was just me, Harry, and Ron. We all took a table together. We heard Umbridge enter the room, she was inspecting Trelawney today as well. Throughout the period, she asked her many questions regarding ancestors, years of work at Hogwarts, and asking her to predict the future.

The nerve of this so-called "woman". Thankfully class ended and we went through our other classes as normal.

Hermione was dragging our group to Hogsmeade. I was quite confused. "Aren't we supposed to stay at Hogwarts, Hermione?" I asked.

"Yes, but this is super important!" She seemed excited.

"The Hog's Head? Really, Hermione?" Harry seemed disappointed, as if he was expecting a surprise.

"I'll explain in a minute. Just go inside." Hermione sounded less excited after Harry's remark.

The four of us step into the pub. It was dimly lit with candles, and the lights that did work were not bright and they flickered. There were atleast three shady looking wizards in there. Then Hermione took us to the next room, where no one was. Until we walked in to see atleast thirty people from our school.
