Get out of my room! Nobita yelled, struggling to control his turbulent emotions. Embarrassment turned his ears a deep red. The thought of marrying a boy, especially his childhood friend, had never crossed his mind, not even in his wildest dreams. Sensing Nobita's need for space, Dekisugi quietly left the room without further questions.
Nobita collapsed onto his bed, feeling mentally drained. His thoughts have been in turmoil lately. I just need some peace, he murmured to himself. Dekisugi had been his friend since childhood—kind, sweet, polite, handsome, and intelligent. Nobita had always believed Dekisugi liked Shizuka too, which explained Nobita's occasional rudeness toward him. Despite this, Dekisugi never complained, always responding with politeness and a gentle smile, even in the face of Nobita's harshness.
For Dekisugi, peace of mind had been elusive ever since he fell in love with Nobita. He clutched his chest, trying to calm his racing heart. In one moment, all his hidden feelings were exposed to Nobita. He had kept these forbidden emotions concealed for years, and now they threatened to overwhelm Nobita with his consent. Dekisugi feared Nobita's rejection; what if Nobita not only turned him down but also dismissed him from his job? Yet, the sight of Nobita's flushed face gave him a glimmer of hope. His reaction is promising, Dekisugi thought, trying to comfort himself.
The next day, the sun shone brightly, but it paled in comparison to the brightness Nobita brought into Dekisugi's life. Obsessed with his love, Dekisugi found himself admiring Nobita from across the dining room. The silence was thick, and Dekisugi's heartbeat seemed almost audible. Nobita ate in silence, deliberately avoiding Dekisugi's gaze. However, Dekisugi's handsome and intense stare gradually drew Nobita's attention. Unable to withstand the weight of Dekisugi's gaze, Nobita quickly looked away, his face turning as red as a fresh cherry.
Nobita, I’ve talked to Shizuka’s parents, Doraemon said, breaking the tension between the two. Nobita hummed in acknowledgment, a wave of guilt washing over him. They want an explanation, Nobita, Doraemon continued, his tone serious.
Nobita’s mind raced, feeling the pressure of Doraemon’s words. He knew he owed Shizuka’s parents an explanation, but his thoughts kept drifting back to Dekisugi, adding to his confusion. For years, Dekisugi had been the perfect friend—reliable, supportive, and always there. But the revelation of Dekisugi’s feelings had turned Nobita’s world upside down. How could he reconcile these new emotions with the expectations everyone had of him? And what about Shizuka? He had always assumed she was the one he would marry.
Nobita found himself replaying memories with Dekisugi, noticing details he had previously overlooked: the way Dekisugi’s eyes lit up when he smiled, the genuine concern in his voice when Nobita was upset, the comfort of his presence. Could it be that he had feelings for Dekisugi all along? The thought both frightened and excited him. How could he face Shizuka’s parents and explain something he was only beginning to understand himself?
Nobita’s heart was a battlefield of conflicting emotions. On one hand, he felt a sense of duty and guilt toward Shizuka and her family. On the other hand, there was a growing affection for Dekisugi that he couldn’t ignore. The thought of potentially hurting Shizuka pained him, but the idea of denying his own feelings for Dekisugi seemed equally unbearable.
