"So, how has mom been?" I asked my older brother, Jungwon, while shovelling taco salad in my mouth.

He shrugged. "I haven't talked to her since the divorce. I still can't believe dad moved on so quickly after."

I nodded in agreement. "Me too. But I'm happy for him, he finally found peace."

"He deserves it. Taking care of three kids while having to keep a close watch on your wife to make sure she's not harming them for 19 years can sure tire one out."

"Agreed."

We sat in awkward silence before he looked down and motioned to my stomach. "So uh, when are they due?"

"October 31st."

He smiles and laughs. "Oh man, you better hope they won't turn into heathens." I rolled my eyes and playfully pushed him.

"Or better yet, pray."

"Don't you even joke about that." I laughed,
"They will be good boy and girl." I sternly said.

"I highly doubt it, you were such a shit head
When we were younger." He chuckled and shook his head.

"Shut up." I nudged him and laughed.

"Well, dad seems to like Haerin." Jungwon pointed over to where our dad and Haerin were chatting.

"Yeah." I smiled.

At first he didn't really understand. But when I introduced them, he slowly grew used to it. Very slowly. My mother on the other hand wanted nothing to do with me. I couldn't care to be honest, I want my babies to grow up in a loving environment.

When I first met Haerin, I never thought we would end up getting married and getting pregnant in fact, I didn't even expect us to last.

"Babe!" Haerin yelled, beckoning me over.

I groaned and pushed myself up, ignoring Jungwon's snickers.

"Yes?" I said walking over to her.

"Your dad and I were just talking about going on a family vacation around Christmas." She smiled.

"The babies will love that." I rubbed my swollen belly.

"I always wanted to do a family picture when your mother was pregnant, but she never would let me." My dad chimed in.

"I'm sure no one would mind doing one right now, right Danielle?" Haerin wrapped her hand around mine.

I nodded and stood beside her as Jungwon sat up the camera.

Haerin wrapped her arms around me, placing her hands on my stomach.

Just as Jungwon ran and stood between my father and I, I realized this is what I always wanted. A big, loving family.

I couldn't ask for anything more.
