graduation (doomsday)

Yeah...we were all super anxious about grad that theo called it our 'doomsday' and we called it that until we graduated😂
This is still on the same day by the way.

The wenday bus was always the longest. An hour and most, it was the everyone bus, so a lot of kids, a lot of our time wasted sitting in a loud bus for an hour. But I didn't mind it this time.

Once we got to our bus stop which was Jefferson elementary school. We all walked down the ial when Tain spoke up.

''Guys this is the last time we get to say goodbye to our bus driver.''

''Why are you like this?😑" I asked.
He laughed.
I walked up to the bus driver and said.
''Good bye, thank you.''

''Your welcome have a good day.'' She replied as I hoped down the final step.
I looked around the parking lot to see that my dad's car wasn't here yet. So I walked over to the grassy area with the big oak tree and sat down with satay, nusa and Emily. And Mia sat next to me, playing with my hair like usual.

We got talking about a random topic when I saw my dad pull up.
''Later nerds, see you tonight.'' I said getting up.

''Bye'' said satay.
''See ya!'' Said nusa.

I crossed the street to my dad's my car. My brother running ahead of me.
I opened the back door to my dad's car and climed in.

''Hey leo'' my dad said. I threw my backpack in the backseat, sat down and closed my door.
''Hi'' I replied.

Since we have to go to graduation in the next hour or two we stopped by subway at innovations academy. Where one of my friends were going to school.
When my dad was pulling into the drive way, I took a picture of the school sending him it followed by a text.

Me: ''hey I'm at your school.''

My friend. ''I'm on brake rn, do you want to meet up for..5 minutes?"

I wasn't expecting that.. we had already walked in the restaurant and my dad was ordering for my brother because he forgot how to get food somehow.

''Hey dad..can I meet my friend at innovation's its across the street.'' I said holding my phone in my left hand.

''Yeah that's fine.'' He said.

I smiled gratefully ''thank you.''
I then ran out the door and twords the school.
Once I got there a staff member opened the door and came up to me.

''Hi..can I help you?" She asked.

''Hi uh..I'm seeing my friend his name is ****"

(His parents don't want him on much social media, so I'm doing my best to respect that. So we're gonna call him rain)

The woman nodded and said. ''Okay I'll go get-" she turned around to see rain coming out into the lobby.
''Oh there you are!
Uh..you guys can talk but stay in the lobby.''
We nodded and the woman left.

''So how you been?" Rain asked.

''I'm..good. I'm graduating in like..an hour..so that nearv wracing.'' I said. Obviously nervous about it.

Rain chuckled softly and said.
''Yeah..but I think you'll do good.''

I smiled softly at him. Rain graduated from madrone last year, and has helped me a lot through my 8th grade year. With giveing me pointers to my 8h grade project. The trip and graduating.

''How have you been?" I asked.

''I've been good, the school I really great. Better then madrone in my opinion.'' Rain said.
