Nothing could have prepared me for the arrival of my princess. Even though she traumatized the hell out of me, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
"I can't believe she's already a month old." said Kairo as he finished changing her diaper
"I want her to stay this little." I replied as I picked her up from the changing table
She literally just got home last week and is already growing. She's gotten so much bigger since her birth and that makes me so sad.
I made my way into the living room so I could feed her. We're up early since today is a big day for us. Navi is finally going to meet her grandparents today. It's a surprise since nobody knows that she was even born besides Parrish and Adonis.
"Can you pick her out something to wear and get her dressed when you're done? I have to get her baby bag together." said Kairo
That was a bit shocking to hear. Kairo rarely allows me to pick out her clothes. He treats her like a living Barbie doll. He changes her outfit like twenty times a day, and is constantly taking pictures.
After feeding and burping her, I went and found something simple for her to wear and got her dressed.
I gently rocked her to sleep before heading back upstairs to get ready. I set her in her rocker and placed it by the bathroom door so that I could take a quick shower.
I tried to be quick but it's something about shower air that makes time go by faster. When I finally got out, Kai was already dressed and putting the baby in her car seat. So I had to quickly get ready.
I put on a plain black tee, some distressed stacked jeans, and my white and black Jordan 1's.
Once we were all finally ready, we loaded up the car and headed to Kai's parents house.
We had to concoct a plan to surprise them. So we discussed that the entire way.
Since Kai's parents were having Sunday dinner we had them invite my parents as well.
"Why don't we just walk in with her. Then when they ask, just tell them." said Kairo
"That's kinda like just popping in and saying "SURPRISE". I want action, drama, and scandal." I jokingly replied
"Well we can go inside, then you say you forgot something then go back out and get her. And it has to be you cause she'll scream her lungs out if it's not." He said causing me to chuckle.
He's not lying though. She's super advanced and overly aware. She's already started trying to roll over and hold her head up. And if she senses my presence around, she'll literally cry non-stop until I pick her up.
"Well how long do we plan on staying? You know yo family likes to pull up deep and ion want too many people around her." I stated
"Not long. Just enough for our parents to meet her and then we're leaving and going to Parrish and Adonis's new apartment to have dinner with them."
