Chapter 20: He Who is Restricted by The Heavens

Kai and his teammate Todoroki stood in the observation room. Some of the class were here minus the people who were going up or just preparing for their exam. Recovery Girl sat in a chair that had a direct view of all the screens. She was needed depending on how injured the students got. The alarm signalling the start of the exam went off. Kai watched the screen, Kaminari and Ashido walked through the entrance and into the city that looked similar to the one they were in a few weeks ago. Kaminari and Ashido looked confident but that confidence was quickly crushed when Nezu used a crane to destroy the buildings they ran and ran but eventually got trapped and failed to make their way out in time.

(???): Team Ashido and Kaminari have failed due to the time expiring.

Someone called out on the intercom. The class were shocked, Kaminari and Ashido didn't stand a chance, not even for a second.

(Jiro): No way it was that one-sided?

(Kirishima): He doesn't specialize in fighting so imagine what it'd be like facing someone who actively fights.

(Sero): Like the other teachers?

That comment made the class lose a lot of confidence of this exam going well.

(Kai) Thoughts: Looks like this exam is going to be a lot harder than I thought it would be. On top of that, we're up against dad.

Even after strategising Kai still didn't like his and Todoroki's odds.

A bit of time passed and the next students Asui and Tokoyami were taken to their location. They had to take their exam in large building that had stairs that led to the exit. Standing in front of the door was Ectoplasm. His clones proved to be a difficult challenge but Tokoyami and Asui used all aspects of their Quirks well. Asui swallowed the cuffs beforehand and spat them out Dark Shadow managed to get them on his legs which allowed them to pass.

(Uraraka): Whoa, they legcuffed him!

Uraraka was awed by their performance. Kai took a look around and their victory instilled some hope into the rest of his classmates.

(???): Team Asui and Tokoyami have passed the final!

Iida and Ojiro were out in a field looking at the unstable ground before them. Power Loader appeared to be somewhere using traps to manipulate the ground to collapse when they step on it. Kai guessed their goal was to get past Power Loader and reach the other side since they wouldn't be able to ground their feet enough to find him yet alone cuff him. Ojiro jumped on Iida's back and then he used recipro burst to outrun the unstable ground. Power Loader appeared in front of them and it appeared they were screwed. But Ojiro wrapped his tail around Iida's leg and the teen used recipro extend to launch Ojiro into the exit and he landed gracefully.

(???): Team Iida and Ojiro have passed the final.

(Midoriya): They're both amazing!

Midoriya was inspired by their teamwork and tried talking to Bakugo who told him to go away. Kirishima stretched and smiled at Yaoyorozu.

(Kirishima): It's our turn now. Let's do this!

He noticed she wasn't responding so he tapped her shoulder.

(Kirishima): Yaoyorozu?

Yaoyorozu jumped.

(Yaoyorozu): Uh, right sorry!

The two left and headed for the buildings entrance. They hopped into the schools bus and were driven to where they'd be taking their exam. Kirishima placed his hands behind his head.
