What if an issue at the printer's office caused Penelope's column about Colin and Marina to be delayed until after they were well on their way to Gretna Green? What if that column tipped off Anthony Bridgerton as to Lady Whistledown's identity and he used it to blackmail Pen into marrying him so that he could fulfill his duty and still keep Sienna on the side?
