POV KAT

It was quite an embarrassing situation at the toilets when it turned out that my new colleague Leah had gone to the toilet in the cubicle next to us.

I couldn't resist looking at who she was with. One of those guys who always have everything with them, muscular, tanned and they only must look at a woman and she's already sitting on their lap. That's probably also why he was on a date with Leah. The cheerleader and the 'all American guy', one perfect picture.
I was stunned when he suddenly stood next to me at the bar and asked if I would like to have a drink with him. I told him that despite his beautiful face, he is just a bit too much for me, about 8 cm and had just a little too small breasts, so that he cannot compete with the women I like. Fortunately, his ego was not hurt, and he also saw the humour in the situation.

"Well maybe we can have a beer together as 'men' then" he said with a smile, after which he walked back to the table where Leah was sitting with two drinks. That guy really had no decency or no sense, you're on a date with one of the most popular cheerleaders in the country and then you go flirting with a lesbian at the bar.

I turn to the bar where Charly is looking at me with a grin on his face.

"I think he thought you were looking at him all the time and that he had a chance with you. Although, I think you were more charmed by his company", he says while giving me a wink.

"That's Leah, she's my new colleague and I'm just keeping an eye out, so she doesn't deal with the wrong types" I say.

"Yes, of course" Charly says with a smile on his face.

When I look at the table in the corner again, I see that Leah and the man are no longer there and I just see them leave the bar together.

I have a strange feeling, kind of a mix of disappointment and jealousy. That guy just hit on me while he was on a date with her, and she still goes home with him...

Since my mood is suddenly less, I decide to go home, maybe I can have another beer with Jack on his porch. I pay for my food and drinks and leave the bar.

As I drive home, I see the man with whom Leah was sitting at the sports bar walking on the sidewalk. I don't see Leah anywhere, so they're probably not going home together. My mood suddenly gets a little better.

I arrive at home and park my car on the driveway, since there isn't any light burning at Jack's house, I decide to watch a movie on Netflix and go to bed early for the change.

As I'm cleaning up the athletic team's equipment, Jason walks by to remind me once again that I'm expected for dinner.

"Yes, I know, I'll be there. I'll arrive half an hour earlier so I can spend some quality time with my godchild." Jason smiles,

"Of course, the little rascal is already looking forward to you coming."

When I'm done tidying up, I do some administrative work after which I can go home, finally weekend.

At home I take a quick shower and change in a skinny jeans and hoody. I decide to walk to Jason's it's only a short walk and that way I can drink a couple of beers. Maybe necessary if it turns out that friend of Reed is as boring as the one, she tried to set me up with last time.

I open the gate to walk into the backyard as 2-year-old Jake is already running towards me, his mini football in his hands, screaming 'ka, ka,' before throwing himself full against my legs.

"Gosh, boy you're definitely going to be a good upback when you play football later" I say with a smile. He drops his ball and raises both his arms to point out for me to lift him. With a swing, I pick him up and place him on top of my shoulders as he shouts out laughing.
