The next incident happened a few days later. Let's say I had cooled down and honestly, I didn't care about it anymore. Our exams were starting, and it was his birthday that day too. I'll be honest the only thing I wanted from for that day was the chocolate.
I must have mentioned that I had a friend named Amelia who was his classmate right? I asked her to get me a chocolate from him, and to not seem sus, two more for my best friends. She agreed cuz it's no big deal to ask for chocolates for her friends. But she must have forgotten because during lunch break, she got only one for me.
As my friends hadn't gotten the chocolate, we headed towards their classes to ask for it (yeah, we're shameless) but also to wish him. While we were standing near the staircase, by a stroke of luck he appeared with his friend and seeing the opportunity we wished him.
I thanked him for the chocolate and to be extra polite I smiled at him too. That dude was so damn shy and awkward he literally mumbled a teeny tiny 'it's okay' and raced away! Jeez! Now that I look back it must have been him just putting on a second face because he too is shameless af.
When Amelia had gone to ask him for an extra chocolate for me, he had apparently told her, 'Your friends are my friends' and given one. I'm probably making a big deal out of this, but I was so happy to hear this then! I was fine with being at least his friend and this sent me flying into the sky lol.
On the last day of school, we had been exchanging a few more glances than usual but it was nothing more than that.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, marked the end of that year. But all the drama started the next year and the last year had just been the trailer.
The movie was yet to unfold...
