Harry Potter: What If Petunia Was A witch ?

Prologue

Petunia Evans the elder sister of Lily Evans ,was now eight years old  & was very happy of getting her parents attention because of her unusual but amusing abilities. But at the same time she was feeling pity for her younger sister as her parents were more focused on her than Lily. But Lily didn't feel that way though she was very happy and proud of her sister instead of being depressed or jealous. Petunia though always tried to be with her sister so that she must not be left alone . The two sisters grew very close with time. The Evans still do not anything about the wizarding world though.

One and a half year has passed. Now Lily too started showing the signs of magical abilities. Petunia was happy for her sister but there was a slight spark of jealousy in her mind as now she is not anymore the only one with these abilities. But she suppresses her feeling and both sisters now enjoyed there childhood. Soon Lily became friends with a boy in neighborhood called Severus Snape. They both were of same age so they started spending more time together. 

Petunia's POV :

I am happy for Lily. Because of our ability we are not friends with anyone at our school. We two just had each other until that Snape boy arrived. Now Lily has been friends with him as they both are of same age. Now she spends less time with me and I am feeling alone. So I decided to make friends with that boy too so we can spend time together.

Next day I saw them under a tree talking, I found it a bit strange that how the Snape boy was looking at Lily. I thought he liked her. Then I too joined them - 

"Hey Lils can I play too? " I said . " Sure if Sev don't have any problem" said Lily. 'Sev!' I thought they have been friends for just a week and now they are using nicknames. " She is not like us right! " Said Snape. What does he mean by that? Not like us ? She is my sister ! " No Sev she is my sister and she is also like us" said Lils. "What like? " I asked. "Sev is also magical just like us Tuny" said Lily." Hi I am Petunia , Lily's sister." I moved forward for a handshake. He was a bit reluctant but when Lily nodded he Shaked my hand and said "I am Severus Snape". I glanced at both of them while playing. I thought there was something between them. And why the Snape boy was so shy and hesitant?

We soon became friends. I always wanted some friends. Sev told us about magic and wizarding world. He says there is a magic school and we all will be going there soon with students of our own kind. He says that  he is a half blood and we are muggleborns. He makes stuff, I thought but Lily believed him though or at least shows like that. 

"I think he likes you are he has some crush or something on you " I said Lils one day. " That can't be true he just want friends " said Lily in disbelief." We will see " I teased her.

After quite some time .

Today Snape said that there is a wizard prison called Azkaban and some dark creatures called Dementors guard the prison. He says that they can suck out all our happiness. Then he again started about the magic school and Dumbledore being headmaster and all. He says there are four houses.. a snake one , a lion one , a badger one and an eagle one. I want believe all of it but this can't be true ...He just wants to impress Lils. I am starting to get annoyed of him but he is my only friend of course other than Lils.

Today I , I mean our family received a letter from Hogwarts School of Wizardry and Witchcraft. It says I am a witch and I will be studying magic there. I can't believe that Snape was telling the truth. So I apologized to him the next day. He accepted the apology and I asked him many questions he answered the all. I was so excited. Mum and Dad were so happy and proud. I again felt bad fir Lils but Snape says that she will also receive the letter when she turns eleven so I was relieved. 

Soon the day came and we finally reached the diagon alley. Lils was very happy. We have to take my stuff , my robes some sweets and at last my wand. But before that we went to Gringotts the wizard bank where we exchanged our currency with wizard ones . It was a bit strange to see goblins but Snape told about them so it was okay. I also received my wand. I was very happy.

Today we came to know about Sev's father. He is horrible. He abuses him. We told him to complain to child helpline but Sev refuses. He says that he and his mother will get in more trouble. I was so angry at his father. If I knew magic I would have cursed him. But Sev says that even after learning magic we can't do it until seventeen due to some stupid rule .

It was August 31st today. Tomorrow we will be going to Kings cross for my first year at Hogwarts. I was so confused about the platform but Sev says that we have to go through some barrier to arrive at platform 9¾. 

Finally I was at Hogwarts express. I found an empty compartment and sat there. Then I met a girl named Alice Prewett who was also first year. We became friends. And now we were in Lake for some reason we have to go through boats not carriages. And now we finally arrived at Hogwarts.

A/n: So I thought since Petunia is also a witch there is no need to show jealousy for her sister. How do you think it should be .. and what will be her Hogwarts house. Will soon find it. Hope you like it .
