The Shining Light of the Demon Slayer Corps

Chapter 8

(Y/N) ran up the mountain while holding the hilt of his sword as he looked around him, making sure he wouldn't be attacked by Raijin from out of nowhere. As he ran up the mountain, it began to rain, and lightning could be seen striking the top of the mountain.

(Y/N): (Either this is just a funny coincidence, or Raijin knows I'm on my way. Probably the latter)

As (Y/N) ran up the mountain, lightning stuck the ground in front of him making (Y/N) stop. Suddenly, more lightning struck the ground near him. 

(Y/N): (Chuckles) At least let me get to the top of the mountain first.

(Y/N) then continued to run towards the mountain while avoiding the constant lighting strikes that were sent his way by Raijin. As for Raijin, he merely laughed as he flew on top of the mountain.

Raijin: Impressive speed! Let's see if you can continue dodging!

Raijin then raised his hands into the air as lighting began to surround his hands. He then shot his hands towards (Y/N)'s direction sending far bigger and faster lightning strikes at him. (Y/N)'s eyes widened as he jumped back as the lightning struck the ground in front of him causing an explosion which sent (Y/N) flying back into the ground.

(Y/N): (Such speed!)

(Y/N) quickly stood up as the surrounding trees were engulfed in flames due to the lightning. (Y/N) began to continue his run to the mountain as the flames and rain surrounded him. 

Raijin: Take this!

Raijin then shot another lighting strike towards (Y/N) who smirked.

(Y/N): My turn!

(Y/N) quickly jumped towards the lightning and unsheathed his sword. (Y/N) then blocked the lightning with his sword. As his sword was then surrounded by it. (Y/N) then swung his sword back towards the top of the mountain, sending the lighting strike right back at Raijin. Raijin's eyes widened as he was hit point black by his own attack, getting sent crashing into the mountain. 

(Y/N) smirked as he continued to run forward. Meanwhile, Raijin slowly stood up as his suit was covered in burn marks, as well as his body which quickly healed. 

Raijin: (Smirks) Using my own attacks against me huh? Not a bad idea demon slayer. (Chuckles) However, it will take more than that to beat me.

Raijin then flew back into the sky as his eyes began to glow and were surrounded by a darker shade of red lightning.

Raijin: Blood Demon Art! 

Raijin then extended his hands to his sides as lighting struck his body.

Raijin: Thunder Hurricane!!!

Raijin then shot his hands once again towards (Y/N)'s location, as a circular flow of red lightning rushed from Raijin's hands towards (Y/N) at an incredible speed. (Y/N) looked at the approaching lighting and groaned.

(Y/N): Tch. This is going to be annoying. 

(Y/N) quickly jumped onto a tree before jumping high into the air avoiding Raijin's attacks, however, as Raijin's attacks hit the ground, separate lightning strikes shot upwards from the point of impact and hit the surrounding area. (Y/N)'s eyes widened as one of the lightning bolts went straight for him. 

(Y/N) quickly raised his sword to block the attack but was too late and got hit point black by it, causing him to scream in pain as he fell to the ground.

(Y/N): (While struggling to get up) That hurt.

(Y/N) then looked up and saw another lightning bolt heading his direction. (Y/N) quickly rolled out of its way before getting back up and continuing to run up the mountain. As he did, he dodged more lightning attacks while the trees continued to catch on fire. After a few seconds, he finally arrived at the entrance to the cave. Raijin looked down at (Y/N) and smirked.
