(Y/N) could be seen walking up a mountain alongside his father. While his father remained serious and looked straight, (Y/N) was more carefree. He looked around the mountain and admired the animals and the overall peace in the area. The two eventually arrived at the top of the mountain and (Y/N) looked over at their village.
(Y/N): Woah! You can see everything from up here! It's so cool!
Yamoshi smiles as he too admired the beautiful scenery.
Yamoshi: It is a beautiful sight indeed.
Yamoshi then looked around the top of the mountain and reminisced of when he used to train up here.
Yamoshi: This is where it happened.
(Y/N) looks at his father with a confused look.
(Y/N): What happened here?
Yamoshi: This is where my father took me to train. The same way his father took him up here to train as well. This is where light breathing truly originates from. From this mountain. And now, I pass on all our knowledge to you, my son. Are you ready?
(Y/N) nods as a serious expression formed on his face, but he still keeps his calm smile. Yamoshi smiles.
Yamoshi: Then let us begin your training!
5 years later
(I suck at writing training arcs. Sorry!!!)
Five years have passed since (Y/N) began to train with his father to learn Light breathing. It was a very difficult journey for the young boy as in the first week most of his bones begged for rest, something that Yamoshi refused to give his son. The second week of his training consisted of learning how to dodge which led to (Y/N) getting hit in the face by a boulder which knocked him out for an entire week.
The weeks of training would soon turn into months, as (Y/N) and his father would train his swordsmanship. Each day (Y/N) would train for hours without rest as his skills would get better and far more refined. After a whole year of training, (Y/N)'s body would be ready for the most difficult part of the training. Learning Light Breathing.
Yamoshi taught (Y/N) all the seven forms of Light Breathing. After teaching him how to master Total Concentration Breathing which took the boy roughly 7 months to learn. (Y/N) struggled for three whole months mastering the first and second form, however, once he did. Form 3 and 4 followed with ease in under a month. The fifth and sixth form took (Y/N) an entire two years to master due to the huge strain they took on him. However, as he continued to train, he managed to perform it with ease and without wasting too much energy.
As for the last form of light breathing, the seventh. (Y/N) struggled immensely to do it. The form required lots of energy which proved to be too much for young (Y/N) who fainted the first time he tried to do it due to the exhaustion. As the months passed by (Y/N) could not master the seventh form of Light Breathing.
After five years of training, (Y/N), who is now 14 years old stands in front of his father and mother with a smile.
Yamoshi: My son, I have taught you everything I know. And you have proven to be a fascinating student that I am proud to have taught. Although you have not yet mastered the seventh form of light breathing. You are ready for your final test.
Akari: The Final Selection. In this test, you and other students will have to survive for 7 days on Mount Fujikasane. The area around the top of the mountain is infested with demons and is up to you and your skills to survive against them.
(Y/N): And where exactly is Mount Fujikasane?
Yamoshi: The test will be held in approximately 1 week. You are to travel west of here until you arrive to your destination.
