The Shining Light of the Demon Slayer Corps

Chapter 12

Gyomei, Yukine and (Y/N) could be seen running towards Arkana who was in sky looking down on them with an arrogant smirk. Arkana then let go of his cane as it flew in the sphere he was in before putting his hands together as a purple mist surrounded them. 

Arkana: Run all you want. You'll never get to me.

Arkana then slowly split his hands apart as a small ball of energy formed in his hands. Then lifted the ball above his head.

(Y/N): What is he doing?

Gyomei: Brace yourselves!

Arkana then lunched the ball of energy towards the ground beneath him as it exploded on impact. However, what surprised the three slayers was how from the explosion a huge purple dragon few out of it. 

Yukine: A dragon!?

(Y/N): He's just full of tricks isn't he.

The dragon then let out a loud roar before flying towards Gyomei. Gyomei continued to run forward while beginning to spin his flail. Once the dragon was close it opened its mouth to eat Gyomei, however, Gyomei in an instant threw his flail at the dragon destroying its head instantly. 

However, the dragon instantly regrew its head and went back to eat Gyomei. However, Yukine and (Y/N) quickly arrived and cut the head into pieces while Gyomei swung both his axe and flail at the rest of the dragon's body and destroyed it. Arkana merely smirked and swung his hand upwards. All of the sudden a giant hand appeared below Gyomei and went to punch him. Gyomei in an instant blocked the attack but was sent flying away from Yukine and (Y/N).

(Y/N): Himejima-San!

Yukine: Are you alright!?

Gyomei: I'll be fine. Focus on the demon!

(Y/N) and Yukine nodded as they turned around and continued to run towards Arkana while Gyomei quickly stopped another giant hand that appeared on his right. Gyomei then destroyed the hand before swinging his flail and axe around him constantly as multiple hands continued to attack him. Arkana grit his teeth as he glared at the Hashira. 

Arkana: (Damnit! My powers are doing nothing to him.)

Arkana then looked down and noticed (Y/N) and Yukine getting closer to his location. 

Arkana: (Filthy humans!)

Arkana then made multiple demons appear on the ground beneath him that rushed towards the two slayers.

(Y/N): Light Breathing. Second Form. Light Burst.

(Y/N) then rushed ahead of Yukine and killed the demons in under a second causing Arkana to curse. Arkana then raised his hands before swinging them down. Suddenly, multiple tendrils shot from the dark sky towards (Y/N) and Yukine.

Yukine: Winter Breathing.  Second Form. Raining Icicles. 

Yukine then jumped towards the tendrils and unleashed multiple consecutive slashes that destroyed the tendrils in an instant. As for (Y/N), he continued to run forward towards Arkana. Arkana quickly raised his finger as a giant hand appeared below him and went to punch him. (Y/N) quickly jumped and blocked the attack with his sword but was sent into the sky as the hand pushed him upward. 

Yukine: (Y/N)!

(Y/N): I'll be fine! Just go kill that demon!

Yukine nodded and continued to run while Arkana shot more and more tendrils at her and sent more demons in her direction. Yukine quickly jumped over a demon and cut off their head before dodging a tendril going for her head and cutting it. Back with (Y/N), he slowly moved out of the hands way before cutting the hand into pieces. As for Gyomei, he continued to destroy the hands attacking him from all directions with ease.
