The wedding now was 6 days ahead. Being a typical Indian wedding, it had various rituals like haldi, Sangeet, mehendi and many more. Both the families had decided to hold the wedding out of the town. They had come to Udaipur and were staying in a 7-star hotel.
There is a ritual where the bride and groom are not allowed to meet eachother few days before marriage which is because it is said that, the bride and groom will share a stronger bond. And also there will be an excitement in them to meet directly at their wedding.
This made Vivaan stressed. He asked, "Why? Why can't I meet her?"
"Because it's a ritual." His mother said.
"I don't agree with the ritual. I won't let it happen. I'll meet Myra at any cost." He said the last sentence in his mind.
"You'll have to, or else I'll lock you up in a room and won't allow you to come out till the wedding day."
4 days passed in no time. Everyone was busy with their works. In this while, Vivaan had not even gotten a single chance to text Myra.
It was the last day and Vivaan and Myra's bachelorette party. Everyone was enjoying to their heart's content. Although they celebrated together, but they made sure that the bride and groom don't meet.
Ayaan and Preet took Vivaan to the cocktail counter and offered him a drink to which he denied at once.
"I don't drink. You guys know it. And Myra won't like it if she finds out."
"This is your last day of freedom. From tomorrow on you will be tied with the wedding vow. Tab mante rehna uski baat. Enjoy your final day of freedom, my dear." Saying this Ayaan poured the drink into Vivaan's lips. He gulped it down. After that he thought something and gulped down another 5 shots.
Later that night, the party came to an end. Vivaan shared his room with Ayaan and Preet. He waited for sometime and made sure that they were fast asleep. He carefully got up and sneaked out of his room. He looked up from his window. Myra was staying just the room above. He knew that she was staying alone. She didn't like sharing room with anyone except her sister. And Amaira had been with Rihaan, which meant she was alone. He thought something and climbed up through the pipe.
Here, Myra had not slept. She was sitting on her bed and looking her henna covered hands smiling.
"Never thought, I'd meet someone like him. Never thought, I'd fall for a person who'd be my patient. Never thought...."
Her thoughts were interrupted by some sounds that came from outside her window. She became conscious. She stood up but then was stunned. Vivaan entered through the window. She was stunned to see him at this hour. She looked down and then at him. She remembered something and covered her face with her dupatta.
"Why.... Why are you here? Don't you know that we aren't allowed to meet till tomorrow? Wait... Why did you come from the window?"
"I..... I.... Missed.... You." He stumbled with his words. "And I.... Came from.... The window by the pipe because... I didn't want to wake anyone. And I wanted to meet you, love. I haven't seen you in days." He stumbled and was about to fall when she held him.
"Couldn't you just wait for this night? Why did you come from the window? What if you had slipped and broken your bones? Why do you always do such daring things? And tell me honestly, Ahaan. How much did you drink?"
"I didn't drink. I was forced to by Ayaan and Preet. I didn't drink much..... Just a little. See... This much🏻..." He said making the amount with his fingers making cute faces.
After a moment of silence, he continued, "Even if I'd fallen and broken bones, I'm sure you'd have taken care of me and helped me heal just like everytime." He smiled and wrapped his arms around her.
She sighed then said, "Yeah... I can see that from your state." She smiled at his cuteness. She went to her night table and took out something, then slipped it into his pocket. "Take the medicine before sleeping or else you'll get severe hangover." She cupped his cheeks and kissed his forehead. "Now go."
She checked outside. The path was clear. She pushed him out of the room and closed the door on his face.
But instead of going back to his room, he stayed there and kept knocking at her door. This was when Sweta had come out to fill the water jug. She found him there and came to him, pulled him by his ears.
He kept struggling, "Mumma, please leave me. I want to meet her. Doesn't she love me?"
"I don't know what she saw in you and chose to marry you. She's such a nice girl but look at you....." Scolding him, she took him to his room.
Myra peeked out, smiled and went inside and slept.
Here, Vivaan finally returned to his room. He looked at Preet and Ayaan, who were sleeping like a log. He'd finally done what he'd thought, he met her. He sat on his bed and took the medicine that Myra gave him and slept.
