My Mayumi

"do you fear me?"

"Mayumi, I'll be back in a few minutes! Stay inside the house and don't let anyone in."

"Okay Papa!" Mayumi agreed, before playing with a new doll her father gifted her. As she was playing, she realized a human-like creature with blue hair was standing before her. She grew excited; after all, most of her friends were curses.

"Hi! I'm Mayumi, what's your name?"

The curse looked intrigued and answered her, gladly.

"Mahito. May I ask why you're here alone?"

"Papa went to run some errands is all. He's only been gone 3 minutes."

"Hm. Mayumi, why do you see me?"

"Because you're right there, mister? Miss? Uh, what are you?"

"You can call me a mister." Mahito slyly transfigured his arm, making it twisted with long and sharp fingernails.

"Mayumi, do you fear me?" Mahito asked, with a smile on his face.

"No!" Mayumi smiled. "You're a curse, and the curses are my friends!"

Mahito laughed before grabbing the girl with his free and now enlarged arm. He used one of his nails to slowly create a long cut on her arm.

"Mayumi, dear. Did your papa ever tell you not to trust strangers?" Mahito laughed while disappearing into the ground.

Mayumi wailed in pain. She held a tight grip on her arm while screaming for her father.

Nanami unlocked the door before rushing in with all the students and Gojo. He bolted towards Mayumi and made her uncover her arm.

"Mayumi, who was here?"

"Papa, it hurts."

Mayumi looked down at her arm and fainted seconds after she was able to say his name.

"Mahito."

Gojo rushed her to Shoko, as the concerned first years followed behind. They bursted into the infirmary and Shoko flinched up from her seat.

After a quick examination, Shoko healed the wound and put a large bandage on her arm.

"You'll be alright now, honey. Make sure this man doesn't leave your side, ok?" Shoko referred to Gojo.

After leaving and doing some extended research, an oddly tranquil Mayumi helped Gojo identify the curse.

"Special grade. What does that mean?" Mayumi slowly enunciated.

"It means it's very strong. We need to keep you safe so it can't hurt you again, ok?" Gojo smiled.

"Ok, uncle!" Mayumi agreed before tugging Gojo along to look for her father.

The night of Nobara and Mayumi's sleepover, Nanami encountered Mahito and shared a fight in which Nanami obtained a cut similar to Mayumi's. Nanami removed himself from the fight after promising to continue it.
