My Mayumi

As Mayumi made her return to the room her father and the other students were in, all students stared at her with concern. She made her way to her father.

"Papa, I thought the curses were my friends. Why did this one hurt me?"

Nanami promised himself that he would never lie to his daughter. He might tell sugarcoated truths, but truths nonetheless.

"Papa and Mahito had a bit of a disagreement. It's okay, Yumi. I'll handle it." Nanami smiled.

Nanami gave his daughter a hug before pulling Gojo outside.

"I think I should withdraw from work for a bit. Things are getting serious, and I need to spend quality time with my daughter. I'm the only one she has."

"I understand. But I trust you'll be here if the situation we face worsens?"

Nanami hesitated. When Mayumi was a newborn, he was freshly reemployed into the Jujutsu world. He thought that it would grant Mayumi more security, so he signed a contract.

"Yes." Nanami said firmly.
