You woke up not to the dark and cold space of your room but to a warm meadow with a statue in the middle. As you surveyed your surroundings, a massive tree overlooking the statue, to the back a small stream and what seemed to be a wind current; you got your bearings and realized where you were. A familiar voice from behind you started you. The words were slightly high pitched and slurred.

"So you were the one sent," Venti said

"Barbatos... Wait! You know? Who else does?"

"Only me..." He responded. By the way he trailed off you doubted that was true but you just stuck with it. After he left, you walked around aimlessly for hours. Once the sun started to set, you found yourself in a cozy spot in the grass and drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, another familiar stood before you, his long, blond braided hair moving slightly In the steady breeze.

"Er... Aether... why are here? O-oh not In a rude way of course."

He offered a warm smile, "Venti asked me to show you around Liyue and Inazuma."

You nodded, comforted by his warm demeanor.

The tour of Liyue was truly amazing. The sunsets, Huaguang Stone Forest, the Jade Chamber, Liyue harbor. All of it was truly amazing. The last night before you left for Inazuma you stayed at Wangshuu inn. The familiar place made it easy for you to sleep and you drifted off quickly. In the middle of the night you woke up to quiet footsteps walking down the hallway. As you walked out the room you were staying, you saw a boy walking up and down the hallway and you recognized him immediately.

He turned around and your eyes widened. His face was covered in blood. Without thinking you walked right up to him and put your hands on his face moving it around to make sure he was okay.

"Er... sorry, I did that without thinking."

All he did was look at you with a cold stare and walk away.

The next day as you and Aether were exiting Wangshuu Inn, you heard whispering and couldn't help but eavesdrop.

"Have you heard? There have been reports on people finding dead bodies in the area."

"Oh, hush! You know that those rumors aren't true! It's just rumors!"

"But my friend found one! Couldn't there be just a chance?"

"That there's some monster?! Do you know how crazy that sounds? They're just fictional characters from stories! It's probably just hilchurls or something! Now get together before someone starts asking questions!"

After hearing this, you couldn't help but want to ask.

"Um, excuse me but I heard you talking about a monster and deaths along Guili plains and the area around Wangshuu Inn. Is this a true story?"

The first one shook her head.

"No dear. My husband over here has been being delusional."

"But- but-. Never mind. Just keep an eye out, you never know what could be out there."

"I will..." you respond.

As you walked along the path to Liyue Harbor, you asked Aether, "Is there really a monster out there?"

He looked unsure but still tried his best to respond, "I... think... that... there's a... possibility that there is one out there but... it's not... confirmed. You don't need to worry though."

"Alright..."

He knows...
