Water may soothe my stomach
But you soothe my soul
I wait for you
As the flower waits for the bee
As the sea waits for the sun
As the shells wait for the tide
I want you near
As the tide wants the moon
As Jupiter wants miracles
As Venus wants my heart
I think of you
As Pluto thinks of the sun
As the cocoon thinks of the butterfly
As the candle thinks of the smoke
I yearn you
As the crab yearns the shell
As my words crave your ear
As my eyes crave yours
You have your sisters bright eyes
And your brothers kind soul
I look for you
As the fish look for shadow
As the dust looks for home
As the light looks for green
I talk of you
As Mercury talks of change
As the Star talks of hope
As the Magician talks of desire
I want to hold you
As my hands hold prayer
As hair holds memories
As Orpheus holds his harp
I love you
As my blood loves my heart
As your eyes love my laugh
As my smile loves yours

Poems that make my heart sting
PoetryAll of these were written by me. If you aren't a black hole full of sadness and screams by the end of the poem I haven't written a good poem.
