3rd Person POV
"You didn't need to walk me to my house." Minji said as she walked beside Yeon towards her house.
"And risk getting berated by your sister? No thanks. You two are too scary." Yeon said as he pretended to be scared which resulted in Minji rolling her eyes at his antics.
"What's the use of you being a 1000-year-old being if you get scared of humans?" Minji said raising her brows as she nudged him.
Everyone has fears." Yeon said with a shrug.
Minji chuckled, maybe it was the alcohol in her system or maybe she did not have any reason anymore to be guarded around him.
Yeon watched her as the chuckle had left her lips, a smile grazing his own at the sound.
"We're here." Minji announced as she came to a stop in front of the gate.
"Yeah, here we are." Yeon said as he came to a stop too, beside her.
"Well then, I'll get going." Minji said with a smile. "Good night."
"Hm, you too.." Yeon said.
Silly Yeon. He didn't want the night to end.
"Minji, wait." Yeon called out just as she opened the gate.
Turning around Minji gave him a raised brow, a smile still lingering on her lips. "Yeah?"
"I... I'm sorry about earlier today." Yeon managed to say the words he kept pushing back.
Minji was confused for a moment then remembered the disagreement they had earlier in the morning.
"It's... okay. You thought it would be better if some things were in the dark." Minji said, a soft sigh escaping her lips. "But I think keeping someone in the dark will only cause misunderstandings and trouble."
Saying that she turned around, walking through the gates of her house and closing it behind her. Yeon watched her till she entered the house and closed the door behind her.
Yeon let out a sigh. He knew she was right but he just didn't have the heart to tell her. Telling the truth isn't worth her life flipping upside down.
