3rd Person POV
The eerie chant echoed once more, their voices like a chilling song of malice. "Give it to me, give me your body," the children repeated, their small hands reaching out and grabbing onto her.
Terror gripped Minji as she desperately tried to pull away, pleading for them to stop. "Stop, please!" she cried out, leaning back as far as she could, attempting to escape their grasp.
Minji's scream hitched in her throat as she fell, plummeting over five stories. She instinctively squeezed her eyes shut, bracing for the inevitable impact.
To her surprise, her fall was abruptly halted, and she felt strong arms encircling her, breaking her descent with a soft embrace. Together, she and the person collapsed onto the ground.
It was Yeon
Yeon lay motionless on the ground, his body weakened due to the injuries he'd got while crossing the bridge in hell. Minji, on the other hand, remained sprawled on the ground, her breathing coming in short, painful gasps.
Lifting her head with effort, she turned her gaze toward Yeon. To her horror, he lay a couple of feet away, his white shirt stained with blood. He appeared unconscious, his body limp.
"He came.."
"Yeon!" A sense of desperation filled Minji as she hurried to Yeon's side, carefully lifting his head and positioning it on her lap.
In a softer, more tremulous tone, she called out his name once more, her voice cracking under the weight of her pent-up emotions. "Yeon..." she whispered, tears welling up in her eyes, the dam of her feelings finally breaking and overflowing in a cascade of tears.
Minji's gaze nervously hovered over his body, taking in the sight of blotches of blood staining his shirt and the few scratches on his face.
Her voice quivered, fear and worry lacing her words as she asked, "What happened to you...?" Her hand trembled as it came to rest gently against his face. "You can't die.. Right?"
"Lee Yeon," Minji whispered urgently, holding him even closer, her voice choked with desperation, "Don't you dare die. Yeon, please."
Suddenly, a fiery orange orb materialized around them, enclosing Minji and Yeon in a tight embrace, as she wept, her tears falling onto his motionless form.
Yeon slowly opened his eyes, his gaze wandering over Minji's tear-streaked face. "I found you..." he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper.
He lifted his hand, gently using the backs of his fingers to wipe away the tears streaming down her face. Softly, he admitted, "I've been waiting for you...."
Yeon's hand fell limply back to his side as he lapsed back into unconsciousness, his body once again stilled. Minji held him close, clinging tightly to him as sobs wracked her frame, her tears falling freely upon him.

Yeon winced as the antiseptic made contact with his injury, which was currently being cleaned by Minji's careful touch.
With a hint of teasing in her voice, Minji spoke, "I haven't even touched the bigger wounds yet, stop groaning." In truth, she was attempting to distract him from the pain, but her lighthearted tone also masked her own worry.
Yeon muttered with a pained expression as his wound stung from the antiseptic, "You're being so cruel. I just saved your life, and this is how I get treated?"
Minji retorted with a matter-of-fact tone, "Well, I didn't ask you to save me, did I?"
"Ah huh," Yeon chuckled despite the pain, "I bet you were secretly hoping I'd come rescue you like I always do."
Minji let out a scoff of disbelief, her gaze locked on Yeon, "Is your ego so inflated that you've been rendered immune to the pain?"
Yeon's smirk widened as he retorted, "Maybe." However, the smirk was abruptly wiped off his face when Minji applied a cotton pad soaked in antiseptic to one of his smaller wounds. He couldn't help but wince slightly, involuntarily reacting to the sting.
Yeon winced again, his tone still playful but laced with a hint of pain. "Sheesh, do you want me to suffer?"
Minji mirrored his tone and repeated his previous response, a cheeky glint in her eyes, "Maybe."
Yeon chuckled, his gaze never leaving her, "Your red, puffy eyes from crying tell a different story, though."
Minji averted her gaze, continuing to clean his wound as she responded, "Well, given that I was literally falling off a building and being attacked by spirits of children, I think it's perfectly normal to cry in such a situation."
Yeon flashed a mischievous smirk, as he pointed out, "That's true, but I also heard you crying out for me. You can't deny it."
Minji shot him a warning glare, her tone firm as she retorted, "You'd better shut your mouth and stop talking before I leave you here to deal with your own wounds and patch yourself up instead."
Yeon replied, a smile still playing on his lips, "Yes, ma'am."
He watched her tenderly working on his wounds, the smile never leaving his face as he observed her careful and gentle ministrations.
