Sophia could swear she had placed her pencil on top of the table. She was still, glancing at her desk, scanning the surface of it like it was about to set on fire. But the pencil was nowhere to be seen and she was sure she had put it there.

What the hell?

"It's on your hair, again, you big dork." Taehyung passed her and removed the pencil from her hair, making it fall on her back.

Sophia was caught by surprise, raising her hand to her hair and looking back to see Taehyung displaying the wooden pencil in front of her.

"Oh! Well, that wasn't where I put it. Thank you. So? Are you finished with the tour?"

"Yeah. Thank Jesus, my French is as terrible as their Korean." Taehyung grumbled, sitting down on the stool Sophia had been using to carve at the white stone of her sculpture "So, when's your class starting?"

"Oh, in about half an hour. I've been preparing some things, but, overall, I think I have everything." Sophia sat down in front of Taehyung resting her back on the chair.

"Can I ask you something?" Taehyung said, his head tilting to the side.

He always did when he was curious about something. And when Sophia nodded and looked at him, Taehyung frowned, like he was trying to find the right way to ask whatever it was he wanted.

"Well... You are a really great sculptor, and most of the college students that come to your workshop come here because they wanna be taught by you. You can see it, whenever a new student walks in, they just look so awed, that this artist they look forward to meeting is talking with them so naturally. I'm just wondering..." Taehyung sighed before he continued "Why do you want to stay here, working at the museum when you could be exhibiting and sharing your art with the world? Do you realize how much money you could be making?"

Sophia smiled slowly, glancing at the studio she loved so much. Her place at home was sweet, a little corner in her comfortable space where she could get comfortable and do whatever. But this studio was where she did most of her work. Where her pieces came together much more naturally. This was her place to work.

"I've done all that. But art is so much more to me than just making money out of the things I make. Every piece has a piece of me." Sophia chuckled, when glancing at a small bust of a fairy she had done a while ago "Sometimes I'm scared I'll become empty, from putting so much of myself into my art. For now, I just want to enjoy being able to surround myself with art and the things I like the most, and just make stuff. I'm making enough money from a job I like, anyway."

Taehyung smiled, that petty boxy smile of his, that made him look a bit like a child, but also gave a charming look to him. His voice was also a stark contrast to how handsome and young he looked, a deep, low baritone that could make any girl go weak in the knees.
