Inside his tower, Clockwork watched a timeline play out. The door to the tower opened and an exhausted man walked in. He threw himself on the couch and groaned.

"Hello Daniel" Clockwork said without turning around.

"It's Phantom, my human half is pointless now"

When he hit twenty his human half stopped aging, something about his human half having a limit and his ghost half preserving him. It didn't matter. Nothing seemed to matter anymore. Danny lived with his family for a as long as he could until they started getting suspicious. Then, they died.

After his family and friends and basically everyone he had known had died of old age, illness, or freak accidents, Danny stuck around the ghost zone more often. He understand the ghosts need to cause chaos. He wouldn't mind doing some of that himself, luckily Clockwork keeps him busy along with his other duties.

"Rest up Phantom, you have another assignment"

"Hey, watch it. I'm a king now ya know, I know sarcasm when I hear it"

The hierarchy of the zone was different from most governments. Danny had a ton of physical strength, technically he's the strongest. Most of the diplomacy and laws are created by the Observants, with his approval.

"I'm going for a walk" he chuckled to himself. A walk.

Danny stretched doing a freakishly flexible back-bend before stepping off clockworks island. He floated in the green space. He sped up zipping around the strange landmarks he'd come to memorize over the years.

There were different sections to the ghost zone, the first part is like gallery of doors, then you take a right and there's the far frozen. Clockworks tower is isolated from it all somewhere in the middle.

There was Princess Dorithea's Island after she had overthrown her brother and locked him away as punishment for his misdeeds.

A few more turn s here and there and you might run into Walkers prison. Not that it was used to store the innocent ever since Phantoms prison riot. Walker got a good sense of justice, so he was allowed to keep the prison and run it.

Danny whizzed back around and landed on Clockworks island. He would ask about his newest assignment later. It was power nap time.

Clockwork was gone from his tower when Danny got back, so he crashed on the couch and slept while he waited.

Danny saw a distant figure in his dream. It a women he was sure he had never met but her kind face and the warmth she exuded felt familiar. Next to her was smiling man. He couldn't really see their faces but he felt a connection, like they were friends of his or maybe trying to tell him something, lead him in a certain direction.

Danny woke up with a start, he glanced around before sitting up. Danny spotted clockwork standing in front of a round window that pushed out, overlooking the zone.

"How did you sleep?" Clockwork asked without turning.

"Well, thank you." Danny replied getting up and walking over to him.

"Are you ready for your next assignment?"

Danny stretched his arms, "I guess I am."

Clockwork smiled slightly before handing Danny a glowing ticket.

"When this stops glowing your assignment is complete. I need you to go to the dimensions of heroes and find Bruce Wayne."

Danny turned the ticket over, it read "Last Request".

"Martha and Thomas Wayne" Clockwork answered as if reading his mind, "their butler is a dear friend of mine. He'll help you, just tell him Clockwork sent you"
