I yawn as I wake up. I stretch and sit up. I reach for my phone on the nightstand to check the time.
Momma and Daddy gave me 100 dollars to go grocery shopping, so I plan to do that after I get a breakfast burrito from WaWa.
I get up and get out of bed. I drag my sleepy ass to the bathroom and turn on the shower. I look at myself in the mirror, rubbing all the crust out of my eyes and drool off of the side of my mouth.
"Good morning, boo," I say to my reflection with a smile.
I take off my pajamas and step into the shower only to realize that the water is freezing. "Jesus–" I back up to the shower wall. Who would have already used up all the hot water?
I sigh heavily and just lather my body up with soap from where I am. Once that's done, I dip my toe in and frown at the temperature of the water.
"Aight then..." I close my eyes and then run into the water, turning around a couple of times and rinsing the soap off of my body.
Goddamn. The water is actually freezing. I shriek a little and then jump out once there's no more soap on me. I turn off the water and my body is positively shaking as I grope around for my towel on the bathroom sink counter.
I wrap my towel around my body and walk to my room, still shivering. I'm already angry at whoever used up the hot water. It's not even 11 AM, who would be up to use the hot water?
I put coconut oil on my entire body, which is a pain in the ass due to my excessively cold hands. Once I'm done with that, I get dressed for the day.

As I'm done putting in my earrings and doing my makeup, Londyn knocks on my door.
"Come in."
My big sister walks in with her normal, bright smile but once her eyes fall on me, the smile drops.
"Girl, the fuck is the matter witchu? You look pissed the fuck off."
"Someone used up the hot water in the shower and it was freezing cold when I was in there." I suck my teeth.
"Oh." Londyn starts snickering. "That was Momma."
I snap my head towards her. "Whatchu mean?"
"Momma got up early and took a shower so she could go to one of them yoga retreats she like to be at now."
I roll my eyes. Ever since I turned 18, Momma made the decision that she's officially old, and now she keeps doing things to retain her youth. Normally I wouldn't have a problem with that but she used all the damn hot water!
