13 Years Later .....

A lot of things had happened in 13 years, if Albert is going to be asked where he wanted to be in thirteen years time, he wouldn't have expected that it will turn out to be this way.

He's standing behind Athena in their bedroom's veranda. She said she wanted to watch the sun set.

Their marital home is in Tagaytay. It was Athena's decision as well. She said she wanted to live near the Muhlachs. So near that they are their only neighbor.

He looks beside him and saw Kian, he's also looking at where he is looking—- to the mother and daughter in front of them.

Athena and Kassidy.

Kassidy Maeve was a real blessing to them and they both love her to the core.

Kassidy is kneeling in front of her Mom, her head on her Mothers lap, at 12 years old, Kassidy sometimes still acts like a child, but maybe it was because they spoiled her too much.

"Hey Buttercup?" He heard his wife's voice called their daughters nickname.

They fondly calls her Buttercup because of Athena's favorite movie "The Princess Bride."

"Yes Mommy?" Sagot naman ng anak. She have a smile on her face and Athena cups her face.

"What do you want for your birthday?" Athena asked.

"Mom, my birthday is still months away." Sagot naman ng dalagita and Albert eyes caught Kian's hand tightly clenched.

The boy almost grew-up with them. He even calls them Mama Clea and Papa Albert. He patted the shoulder of the 16-year old boy who looks at him with sadness in his eyes.

Who could blame him? He feels the same, even worst than what he is feeling at the moment.

"It's okay. Here, I want you to have this." Athena told Kassidy as she handed her a medium sized box.

They already talked about it and Athena wanted their daughter to have the gift now.

"Mom? I think this is too much." Kassidy commented when she opened the box and found a passbook and Athena's personalized map of the world. "What if I lost this?"

"I trust that you won't, Buttercup. Those places I marked are the places me and your Dad travelled to after we got married and the money in that passbook is what you will use once you go and explore the world." Athena said at pinigilan naman ni Albert ang ma luha.

"If I can have one wish in this life, my buttercup.. I wish that you will someday find the same love that me and your Dad has. And you two will get to see the beauty of the world." Athena stated while caressing Kassidy's face.

"Don't worry Mommy. I have Wesley, he loves me, diba Wesley?" Kassidy innocently asked Kian.

Since Kassidy learned that Kian's second name is Wesley, she started calling him that. She said Kian is her Buttercup's Wesley.

The young man however just indulged his daughter.

"Of course. You know that I love you princess." Kian answered and Kassidy's eyes brigthens at that.

Albert knew how as well that the young boy loves his daughter like a little sister, but their Kassidy have another thing in mind.

"See Mom? I love Wesley too. Someday, him and I are going to get married."

Bahagya naman natawa si Athena at Kian. No doubt thinking the same thing that he's thinking right now.

Kassidy was too innocent for her own good.
