"Dad!"

"Hmm?"

Lazing on the sofa was the greatest contributor to the household, and the only one.

"What is it?"

Still not used to seeing his daughter, Merlin, the father could only awkwardly say that, all the while trying his best to seem normal.

Giving the cheekiest smile imaginable to humankind, Ann spoke rather proudly.

"Being the great sister I am, I can't let my sister keep wearing a gent's clothing!"

She pounded her chest smugly, the smile never leaving her face.

"So-"

Perhaps knowing what her father would say, Ann clicked her tongue and made a no-no gesture and affirmed.

"I am not buying clothes for me! It's for sis!"

Not buying the answer at all, the father spoke,

"Sure... So I assume you need money?"

As if waiting for this question, Ann nodded vigorously.

Staring at his daughter, Siegfried sighed.

"Um..."

It was then that the Mage of Flowers decided to speak.

Turning the heads of her sister and father towards her, Merlin spoke rather awkwardly.

"Can we, Father?"

Her voice was so low that they had difficulty hearing it.

"Sure!"

Siegfried quickly agreed without hesitation.

"So fast?!"

Ann was shocked to see that her father quickly agreed to the request as soon as her elder sister spoke.

"Can't I spoil my elder daughter?"

Not even looking at Ann, Siegfried replied with a rather large smirk.

"Gah!"

An imaginary arrow pierced through Ann.

'Isn't it supposed to be the other way around?!'

Merlin continued watching this familiar banter from the sidelines.

'I suppose I can understand why he is trying to spoil me. He wants to-'

Ding!

'-Hm?'

A notification from her phone disturbed her internal thoughts.

Clicking at it, her eyes bulged.

"20000?!"

Written in capital letters was the amount of money added to her bank account.

Her account had roughly 24000 before the additional money was added.

"I have added some money to your bank account for shopping."

Siegfried spoke, smiling.

"B-But isn't this too much!?"

Ann had her jaw hanging unnaturally at the mention of the amount of money Merlin got.

"2-20000 INR?!"

Before Ann could comprehend anymore, Merlin did the unthinkable.

She had hugged her father.
